  • Reading With Flexible Seating Options

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

    Thank you so much for funding our flexible seating project. My students were very excited when I told them about our project. They were more thrilled when our materials arrived. They could not believe that there are people out there who fund teachers projects that will help them succeed academically.

    Through out the day they have the choice or remaining at their desk or work on mat, beach chair, yoga ball, or on the carpet with a lap desk. Their favorite seating is the yoga ball. Without realizing it, the use of a yoga ball has helped them with their posture! They simply love learning in comfort.

    Incorporating flexible seating in my classroom has given my students the freedom to work in different areas of the classroom to further enhance their creativity and critical thinking across the curriculum. It has also made them more responsible in taking turns, sharing, and making decisions. I hope to see the same results with the new incoming class.”
