  • Back to School Ready

    Funded Jul 17, 2021

Thank you for supporting my classroom and students so we can be as prepared as possible for this school year. Students have enjoyed using their supplies and continue to benefit greatly from having extra supplies on hand when needed. They absolutely love using the dry erase pockets that were purchased and it has allowed us to consume less paper in our classroom. We have benefitted from using our white board markers and our highlighters so much already. Our first half of the school is all set thanks to your donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Valtierra

  • Summer School Supplies

    Funded May 5, 2021

Providing enriching and hands on activities was all made possible thanks to your donations. Over the summer I worked with a small group of students to provide some explorative activities all while exposing them to school environment and what learning in a classroom is. Students ranged from limited classroom exposure throughout their kindergarten school year to having been in person half the school year. It was very enjoyable to see students using materials.

Having enough supplies and materials to use for various projects and activities helped keep them engaged and actively learning. These kinds of materials are helpful to have and we are so thankful for your support!”

  • Help Replenish Kinder Supplies

    Funded Feb 6, 2021

Halfway through the school year, kindergarteners are in need of new supplies that continue to support their growth not only in academics but also in organization and responsibility for self. The materials in this project helped my students organize the activities and materials I sent home to use during asynchronous time. I was also able to provide more hands on activities for my small group instruction. Due to the remote instruction for our particular class I was able to provide more markers for them to write their answers on their white boards as well as engage them in writing workshop type style of writing instruction. I was also able to give them tools to brighten up their work to encourage them to work on their penmanship in a fun and creative manner. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and theirs!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Valtierra

  • Kindergarten Individual Materials and Containers

    Funded Aug 27, 2020

A tremendous amount of gratitude for having made this project come true. My students were able to use their materials during remote learning. I was able to jumpstart their necessary school supplies at the beginning of the year providing them a pencil box that housed tools for literacy/phonics instruction as well as a pencil box with tools for math instruction. This was the perfect way to provide hands-on tools for their remote learning instruction that they participated in during the entire 2020-2021 school year. My students really enjoyed using the white boards that they could hold up to their camera to respond to different questions in both English language arts and mathematics instruction. I was also able to teach them to use the timers to practice different timed skills. Overall the tools that this project provided helped me make remote learning as engaging as possible for my young students. Thanks to you this school year was a successful one for them and for me!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Valtierra

Due to the pandemic we are currently living through, students are unable to share materials and supplies in the classroom and at home that we typically use to be engaged in learning. These materials and containers would typically be shared, however, in order to keep students safe, the pencil box containers would allow me to provide each student with their own Reading Manipulative Toolkit and Mathematics Manipulative Toolkit. By providing my students these supplies they will be able to have non-shared materials that can keep them and others safe during this time. This will also be something that will be used for both remote and in-person learning. Kindergarteners are learning to be responsible for their learning materials and will be more engaged by having these individual supplies at home and at school.
