  • Secret Stories for Kindergarten

    Funded May 8, 2024

The joy students are demonstrating as they learn sounds that stretch beyond the kindergarten phonics level is so heartwarming. They are so excited to hear the new secret and to read words that contain the phonics pattern they otherwise wouldn't access at this grade level. It also is so rewarding when a student is excited to find the secret stories in words that we are learning. We are very grateful to be able to use the Secret Stories in our classroom. It has made a true difference in how well students are learning to read. Because the Secret Stories are supplemental we are able to use them almost daily. Students know they can look up at our wall and find the pattern they need while they are writing. It has been so inspiring to see all they can achieve with the resource your donations made possible.”

  • Wobbling to Small Groups We Go!

    Funded Aug 22, 2022

Having wobble stools has been a great engagement tool for small groups. Students are able to focus and participate when at my small group table. It is a very helpful tool when they are being assessed as well. My students love those chairs and use them so responsibly. Flexible seating as a whole seating choice has really supported student's SEL growth. They are able to regulate better allowing more opportunities for learning connections to be made. Even though we mostly use our wobble stools for small group, we are able to rotate them throughout the room to address any wiggle needs. They are such a great investment!”

  • Happy Mail in Kindergarten!

    Funded Oct 4, 2022

Thank you for supporting our mailbox project. Students will love having a more organized space for their take home folder and classwork. I am also excited to share their open access in order to spread kindness among each other. They already have such a great bond I know they will enjoy being able to spread kindness to each other via their class mailboxes.”

  • Kinder Re-Up Supplies

    Funded Jan 7, 2022

One of the things they do not tell you about kindergarten is how much more excited and engaged students are when they get to co-create anchor charts. Having easel pads of sticky anchor chart paper has helped students take ownership of their learning as they help create our learning anchor charts for them to reference at any time during the school year.

We also love using watercolors as a different medium to let our creativity go. It has been such a blessing to have lots of quality materials for students to use throughout the school year.”

  • Brighten Up Kinder

    Funded Jan 24, 2022

So many things are needed to provide high quality education in kindergarten. Having reusable resources allows me to provide high quality activities that can be used multiple times at different points in the school year. It is also very important to have quality materials that are durable and engaging for students. Students love crafting with the best colored paper and I love being able to tell parents what color paper to look for when I sent important papers home. We also love using our spinners for different learning activities. Our kindergarten class is so appreciative of our colorful supplies!”

  • Sitting and Learning in Multiple Ways

    Funded Mar 9, 2022

It has been a great pleasure seeing my kindergarteners learn how to pick their best learning spot. The addition of a low tables allows students choice as they not only get to pick where to sit but also how they sit. They have multiple options of high and low tables that get them more engaged in their work and provide comfort at the same time. The amount of choice they have in the classroom is reflected in their more engaging characteristics in the classroom. They are excited to answer questions and more willing to consider their learning space and how it helps them succeed and how they can then help others succeed.”

  • Flexible Seating and More in Rm. C6

    Funded May 10, 2022

Having more seating options has made our kindergarten classroom pretty complete. Students enjoy picking their best learning spot and it has really made a difference in how they engage with their learning. I appreciate everything you have contributed to make this classroom a flexible learning environment that caters to all student needs. Many of the students take pride in acknowledging how their choice matters in picking spots that allow them to be more comfortable or more at their level. Contributions like these do not go unnoticed.”

Due to the pandemic we are currently living through, students are unable to share materials and supplies in the classroom and at home that we typically use to be engaged in learning. These materials and containers would typically be shared, however, in order to keep students safe, the pencil box containers would allow me to provide each student with their own Reading Manipulative Toolkit and Mathematics Manipulative Toolkit. By providing my students these supplies they will be able to have non-shared materials that can keep them and others safe during this time. This will also be something that will be used for both remote and in-person learning. Kindergarteners are learning to be responsible for their learning materials and will be more engaged by having these individual supplies at home and at school.
