Thank you so much for investing in our classroom! The kids have had such a great time reading the articles, asking questions and engaging in meaningful conversations about what they read. I have been able to incorporate the articles as part of their homework and extend the learning to home. In my classroom reading can be done as a whole group, small group or individual. I truly enjoy seeing the students get deep into their books and grow their love for reading and knowledge of the world. Once again we thank you for making this possible.”
Thank You for your kindness and generosity. The students are having so much fun learning about money by using them in class during math time or as rewards for their hard work. From this young age, students are learning the importance of being wise with their money habits and spending. The journals are being used as well as the other fun components in the kit.
Our next project is to add more fun centers to math and make math learning memorable and enjoyable. The lessons students are learning in the classroom is being shared with their own family and friends.”

Thank You for the beautiful and rich stories your contributions helped bring into my classroom. The look of joy on our students faces was priceless! It is a beautiful gift to see oneself represented in the books being read in the classroom. Each story and author brought a connection and a topic of discussion. I enjoyed each one and seeing students flipping through the pictures and pointing out their noticings and wonderings, truly is heartwarming. I look forward to reading them with my students. I thank you for investing in their education!”

Thank you for investing in the financial literacy of my students. These materials have come at such a timely moment in our unit as we are Learning about rounding whole numbers. I've been able to discuss the importance of understanding money and how to handle it when doing everyday business. Students were very excited to receive the package and all of its wonderful content! I look forward to using the cash registers, games, money magnets as well as the paper money to promote financial literacy at this young age. Once again thank you!”

Thank You so very much for investing in our classroom! The paper is being used to print everyday materials, create artwork, use as scrap paper and so much more. The bright colors allow me to copy material that students need to remember and easily access. Small details such as this one make classroom organization a whole lot smoother. We just finished creating self-portraits where students were able to showcase their distinct features using paper and markers. By providing paper, we are able to do a lot more hands-on activities and helps not having to ask families for donations. We appreciate you and your contributions to our teaching and learning.”

Thank You for your generosity and investing in young readers. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and desire to help kids succeed. These monthly news articles promote reading, and staying up to date with current events in an age-appropiate way. These magazines can be used in the classroom and at home to extend the learning. Families are able to read the magazine with their student and discuss what they have read, promoting not only literacy skills but critical thinking and conversations. I enjoy seeing the smiles each month.”
Thank You for providing these items of great need during these times. Thanks to you and your generosity this will help our classroom tremendously. I will not need to add these items to the school supply list for this year because we have so many. As part of health and safety protocols it is crucial that our classroom is kept clean for all students. When I saw the materials it brought a huge smile to my face at the thought of being able to provide these items for my students thanks for the generosity of our donors.”

Thank You so much for providing a fun and engaging space for young learners. These materials provide hands-on opportunity for all students to learn at their own pace and at a level that they can do independently. In my classroom reading is done in centers and in quiet corners chosen by students. Students select books of their choice based on their reading level and interests. At this time, I am conducting guided reading groups in the back of the room. It is amazing to see how first graders learn new skills and put them into practice right away. I look forward to continuing seeing this bright young learners grow and learn this new school year. This is possible thanks to your kindness!”

Thank You so much for the Financial literacy tool kits. BCCS First Graders are having so much fun learning about money and money management. We will be using "scholar dollars" and learn how to save, purchase and donate by making wise choices throughout the day. We appreciate your investment and planting seeds from a young age and seeing them flourish in the future. Our hope is that as they grow they will remember these foundational activities and share their knowledge with their family and friends. We appreciate you!”
