Through this course I will learn the techniques to teach yoga and emotional regulation to our young minds. The children in our Head Start are low income, minority students in the south, with qualifying social circumstances. Many of our students have behavioral challenges. The families we serve struggle with employment, safe housing, and reliable transportation. Teaching emotional regulation may be the catalyst to teach coping skills to children, potentially reducing incidences of future addiction, domestic violence and legal issues. The opportunity to transform the trajectory of these children's lives is priceless.

About my class
