Organize Your Stuff
Funded Mar 18, 2025Thank you! Clutter can really ruin a workspace! Middle schoolers are so easily distracted, so it is important to keep the room as tidy as possible. The bins you provided will really help create a better learning environment for the kids. It will also aid in keeping me a little more sane!”

Who Is Series
Funded Dec 21, 2024Holy cow! The students were already enjoying this series, which is why I asked for more, but the books you added to our collected really lit a spark. It was completely unexpected. Students started listing the books in the series they had read. This turned into a huge motivator. Students were comparing lists and even suggesting their favorites to each others. Amazing! One student has set the goal to have read every Who's Who book on my shelves. I'm not sure they will have time, but I'm all for the effort. In fact, I've started to give star stickers each time they summarize a book for me.”

No Testing Anxiety
Funded Jan 7, 2025Thank you! It took two full weeks, but every one of my students have completed all four of the WIDA tests. Students were so earnest! They took their time and used the paper and pencils to take detailed notes. I am proud of them. Having the mints to suck on made an impact. They were so appreciative of that small token.
It is an honor to work with middle schoolers, but would be significantly more difficult if it were not for your generosity. There is no way I could provide the materials is requires to create an inviting and calm classroom.”

I'm Puzzled
Funded Mar 5, 2025Thank you so much! Having puzzles, coloring supplies and simple games offers students a much needed break from their laptop screens. When a student finishes their assignment a bit early, they take a seat at one of the activities provided and it creates such a calm, warm and inviting environment.”

Document Camera
Funded Dec 13, 2024There have been many times I have wanted to project a page from a book or a a student example for the entire class to see, but couldn't! Thanks to the document camera you funded, I am now able to. This tool has really helped students to be able to learn from each other's examples. Students want to have their work shown as the exemplar, so there has been a boost in effort! I was not expecting that, but obviously, I love it! Thank you for increasing student participation and elevating the level of effort they are willing to put into their work”

Piggie Love
Funded Dec 26, 2024Ok, I have to tell you that these little guinea pigs, William and Alan, are the MVPs of my classroom. It's astonishing how much these little creatures have changed the overall feeling. I wish I had known the impact they would have years ago. Middle schoolers are basically known for being terrible, yet, when I hand one a furry little rodent and they transform into nurturing, empathetic little darlings. It's wild!
Thank you for keeping our pets healthy and happy so they can keep us healthy and happy too!”

Social and Emotional Project
Funded Sep 18, 2024The timing for this project was perfect! We pulled out all these craft materials as soon as they arrived. My middle schoolers loved using the clay and tools to create little ghosts that will glow with tea lights. Next we are going to create intention stones using the paints and brushes. A lot of the emotional struggles we see in classrooms are because students have few creative outlets. I will be also using these materials to create activity kits to send home over the winter break. My students complain about being bored while home. Most their parents are working and the kids are left to entertain themselves.”

Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you for providing our classroom with basic supplies. As you know, a classroom of middle schoolers go through things quickly. Our school is almost all free and reduced lunch. The students do not bring any supplies with them, the responsibility falls on the teachers to provide the necessary materials. I honestly do not know how I would ever afford all that is needed for a functional classroom, let alone an engaging one. Your donation takes a lot of pressure off of me and allows me to focus my energy on teaching. Thank you.”

Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you for supporting my efforts to improve my students' reading scores. These florescent lights and neon certificates make the space outside our classroom look so good! The students are proud when they see their names on the glass and they often point it out to their friends. Students earn the certificate by making the most weekly progress on a reading program called Lexia. When I announce the awardee, the class applauds and congratulates them. This is such a simple reward, but has been so positive and impactful.”
