  • The Case of the Missing Cases!

    Funded Jan 15, 2025

I cannot explain in words the immense gratitude we feel for having our project supported. We feel so much safer using our iPads when they are in sturdy cases, especially in our second grade classroom, where accidents can happen! Students are encouraged to use the iPads in a variety of ways, from setting up a stand on their desk, to using the handle to carefully transport the iPad around the classroom. We are grateful for all of the support we have received, and have continued to receive throughout the school year. We thank you tremendously!”

  • Readers, Readers, Readers!

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Students in second grade are working hard to become better readers during this school year. To support their learning, students can use many types of resources. For this project, we were able to fund the purchase of a classroom audio-player that students could use to help them learn how to read, and to help them learn new vocabulary. We are very grateful for the support of all the people that donated to our classroom project, and inspired our learning for the beginning of the school year. We feel so supported!”

  • Write About It, Draw About It!

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom. In second grade, students are beginning to transition to become better writers, and they are still attempting to use their drawings to help them with their writing pieces. Using notebooks like the ones we were able to buy from this donation allowed our students to have the space to draw their thoughts, and then use the handwriting lines below to write about their drawings. It also allowed students to work on their handwriting, using the middle line as a key line. We have been able to see tremendous progress in our students' writing abilities since using these notebooks. Thank you for your contributions!”

We are so grateful for all of our supporters and for Donors Choose for making these things possible for us. Second grade is an important year for students to make incredible growth in their skills and beyond, and fortunate for us, we have some of the tools and resources we need to learn comfortably. We are so grateful!”

  • Let's Start Strong!

    Funded Sep 15, 2024

Thank you so very much for your fantastic contribution to our classroom, in order to provide us with the funds for the resources that we need. We are grateful to have supporters such as yourselves in our corner and we feel very lucky to have received so much love and support. The students in our classroom were able to use the resources provided in many different ways, and it made learning that much more easier for many of us. We love to provide our students with opportunities for support, so it is thanks to our supporters that we were able to do that for this project. Thank you for all that you do for us!”

  • Draw It Out!

    Funded Apr 8, 2024

Anchor charts are a very important part of our classroom educational experience. Therefore, for this project, allowing us to have the funds to purchase more chart paper and instructional materials for our learning was so very much appreciated. My students learn best when they are able to look back to see what we have learned, and remember vocabulary and steps for solving problems. Students who are classified as English Language Learners can also really benefit from seeing our learning in chart forms hanging around the classroom. We are so grateful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

  • Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded Apr 5, 2024

Words cannot express our immense gratitude for your contribution to our classroom through the funding of this project. The amount of money we received for our supplies was so overwhelmingly necessary, and really made a tremendous difference in being able to have the resources we needed for learning. I was also able to share our resources with other teachers in the building, which is also immensely important in a school community like the one we are in.

We hope that your support for our classroom continues through this school year as well. We are so grateful for your donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stine

  • Print, Copy, Scan!

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Working in a school that cares deeply about the needs of their students has always been the environment that I have been most drawn to, and that is certainly true of the school I currently have the pleasure of teaching in. However, due to being low-funded, we often do not have the necessary resources available to support all of the needs for the students in the classroom. I am so grateful for Donors Choose for allowing educators to be able to raise funds to support the needs of my students when we do not have the means to do so individually.

The classroom printer that this project has allowed us to continue to learn and work hard at an accelerated pace. I am grateful to have the opportunity to fill my classroom with supplies that will support my students as they continue to learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Stine

In order to produce the best work and learning environment for our classroom, students should understand that every piece of work that they complete has value and is important. The students in this class would benefit greatly from having new pieces of technology to guide their learning. In this classroom, we are visual learners, and every piece of technology that we use is beneficial to learning. In a world that is becoming increasingly advanced in technology, we would like to be ahead of the curve! Our school believes that students benefit greatly from project based learning. Allowing students to use innovative technology in the classroom will make learning a more exciting experience!
