Hands-On Math
Funded Aug 15, 2014Thank you, each of you, very much for your generous donations to our classroom. Receiving our project materials in the mail was such a treat. My students loved the experience of getting the packages, opening them together, and discussing each item and ways we could use it in our classroom.
The linking monkey numbers and egg shakers have quickly become favorites in our math centers. The stamps and ink are being used in our literacy and math centers for students to practice numbers, letters, and spelling. The counting boxes are being used to build number sense.
I am thankful to have these math materials to share with my current and future classes.
Thank you for all you have given our classroom!”

Funded Apr 3, 2014You would not believe the excitement of my students when a package is delivered to our classroom; each new one is like Christmas morning.
With the dry/erase paddle boards, we're able to do quick, fun, informative assessments to "show off" what we've learned. Having a class set is incredibly beneficial, and I love being able to share them with other teachers on my team. The puzzles and stamps are being used daily in reading centers. The magnetic boards (a favorite toy of mine growing up) are bringing new life to our writing.
I am very thankful for these resources and look forward to using them with my future classes. Thank you, each of you, for your generosity toward myself, my school, and my students.”

Listening Center Revamp
Funded Jun 28, 2012Thank you so much for the ipods and books your helped purchase for our classroom! The two ipods have replaced our outdated cassette player, and are much easier for the students to use. Once I set them up and downloaded books to them, my first graders quickly learned to operate them and have taken on the responsibilities of taking care of them by charging them and downloading new books. My students love going to the listening center to read along with the books; the Danny and the Dinosaur books are two of their favorites. Thank you again for your generosity!”

A Bug's Life
Funded Jul 7, 2011Thank you so, so very much for the materials you helped purchase for our classroom! My students love learning about bugs and all things that creep or crawl. The books have been a hit in the reading center, and have been used in teaching math, reading, and science. We are waiting until mid-April to order the lady bugs for our live habitat, and the students are so excited for them to be in our classroom! Without your generosity, we would not have these engaging materials. Thank you again!”
