Thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom. We have begun eating breakfast and lunch in our classroom in order to create a more welcoming classroom environment, and really emphasize the idea of being a "school family." For some of our students, the school provided food is the majority of their daily food intake. While it is nice to eat our meals together, it does create a bit of a mess, and we often have crumbs and pieces of food on the floor. For example, many of my students do not like to eat apple skin, and I often find pieces of apple skin on the floor. I am eternally grateful that your donations helped to purchase a new vacuum for my classroom. While it was an expensive vacuum, the convenience of having a cordless, rechargeable vacuum has really helped me and our classroom in many ways.

When the package arrived, most of the students guessed that the box was full of toys. They became more excited about having a vacuum when I told them that many strangers helped us buy the vacuum to help keep our classroom clean.

We use the vacuum everyday, after breakfast and lunch. I feel that it has helped create accountability with my students, and that they feel more personally responsible for keeping our classroom clean. Some of the students often help to use the vacuum,and the different attachments have come in handy for this. Thank you again or thinking of me and my students.”
