• Executive Functioning at Work

  Thank you for these materials to get and keep my students organized. They were very excited. As a result of these materials, my students were able to contain important assessments and strategy packets in one safe space and easily accessible when needed. The students felt more "professional" with the envelopes and they felt more at ease knowing they didn't have to "look for my papers in a messy binder". The privacy folders also helped keep things light during assessments. The adhesive dry-erase contact paper turned three of our walls into thinking stations. Thank you!”

• Holiday Gift Bags for ALL!

• All Great Things Need to Be Stored Safely

  Thrift Store Overview

  Our school's Thrift Store is a monthly event that our students eagerly anticipate. For many students in need, these gently used items hold significant value.

  PBIS Rewards System

  We use an app called PBIS Rewards, where students earn points for positive actions such as showing kindness, helping teachers, or cleaning up after events.

  Shopping with PBIS Points

  At the Thrift Store, students can use their PBIS Rewards points to "shop" for essential items like hygiene products, hats, gloves, scarves, socks, and even prom dresses. This unique experience allows students to access needed items without using cash.

  Storage and Organization

  To keep the clothing safe and secure between shopping days, we need two lockers. After each Thrift Store event, the PACT Council meets in my office to organize and pack away leftover items in the lockers.

  Improved Storage Solutions

  Previously, we worried about whether our items would be safe after weekends or breaks. Now, with proper storage, we can ensure they are protected from dampness, flooding, and pests.

• Pact Mind & Body Fitness

  We are using our new equipment for what we call Monthly House Challenges in the form of Spirit Days. We hold one each month and the students look forward to it.

  Monthly Spirit Days motivate our students to improve attendance, increase kindness to themselves and others, and to work together to plan, organize, and run these House Challenges.

  These new products make it possible for our students to have something to look forward to because not all kids in the Bronx like or play basketball. Our goal is to introduce our students to different ways of showing their team and communication skills.

  They had a blast! They were happy! They were proud to finally have equipment that is new and clean. Thank you so much!”

• Spirit Days Never Looked Better

  Our school experienced an unforgettable Spirit Day on Thursday, October 31st, thanks to the generous funding for this project.

  The excitement among our students was palpable. It felt like Christmas as they unpacked, organized the new items, and brainstormed "challenges" for the event. The balancing boards and scooter boards generated the most enthusiasm. Additionally, the pinnies were a special touch, allowing us to equip each team for the relay races.

  The joy on their faces and the sounds of their laughter while playing with these new Spirit Day "toys" were truly infectious. We eagerly look forward to our next Spirit Day Houses Challenge, which is coming soon!”
