  • Just a DAB of COLOR

    Funded Feb 14, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! We have been using our bingo daubers for some many activities. We have been able to practice counting through placing dots on paper. The students have enjoyed coloring with the bingo daubers. Recently, we made a poster for a school wide food drive!

We've been provided enough bingo daubers that both exceptional children's classrooms have enough materials for each student.

Thank you again for believing in our students and pouring into the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • Keeping Our Fingers Busy

    Funded Apr 28, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! When we received all of these activities, we instantly placed them into our center box rotations. The students have enjoyed the new activities. To make it easier, pictures were taken to label each box which allows the kids to independently pick their center box.

Keeping our hands busy has been a great tool for the students to learn with hands-on activities. The more movement, the more interaction our students have!

Thank you for believing in my students and pouring into our classroom. We are excited to see the progress each student makes this year!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • BOOM! Cards for Us!

    Funded Dec 2, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting our students. We have been able to download and utilize a variety of boom cards. Throughout the day some of my students will ask if they can "play" on their iPad or "play" boom cards. It is such an inviting and fun way to learn. The goal is for my students to become more independent with their learning through boom cards.

When students are interacting with boom cards and get a question right, a nice "ding" goes off and that is highly motivating but when the answer is incorrect they get a different noise. One student her the incorrect sound and said, "Ah man!" and tried again.

Thank you for being a part of our class family and supporting our learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • Flexible Seating- a Seat for Everyone!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your support!! We now have a variety of seating available in our Exceptional Children's Classrooms. The bean bag chairs are currently the favorites of the room. We have used bean bags chairs for morning meeting and for sensory breaks. The cube chairs have assisted during morning meeting and work time.

Providing our students with a variety of seating opportunities is something that we needed. Everyone learns differently than their friends and this is just one way to provide a welcoming environment.

Thank you for investing in each of our students and your support! We appreciate you!”

  • Filling Up Storage Bins

    Funded May 27, 2021

Thank you so much for providing the funds needed to "organize" and sort our Math Manipulative Room. Once we received the containers in the mail, the real work began. All of our school wide math manipulatives were sorted based on a variety of attributes.

The room is currently being used by all grade levels and for our teacher and students it is a blessing! All the materials are easy to find and there is a check out system.

Thank you for impacting an entire school through your financial giving. You are truly appreciated!”

  • Essential Items for a New School Year

    Funded Aug 3, 2021

We have already started unpacking the boxes!! This new school year is different than any others in the past. We are gearing up to teach students in a post-pandemic world, but with the same goal in mind; to make sure each student knows that their life has a purpose, they are loved and they can do anything they put their minds too.

We have started printing off schedules using the cardstock, cleaning (and more cleaning) with the use of the paper towels, making schedules on the whiteboard with the expo markers and the list goes on.

Thank you for investing in the lives of our students! We are excited to see where we soar!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • Let's Stick Together with Velcro

    Funded Mar 1, 2021

Thank you so much for your support! During this past school year, due to COVID-19, we had to adapt a lot of materials in order to provide educational tools to our students.

We made A LOT of manipulative folders that have moving pieces and to secure them, the Velro dots helped a WHOLE lot! Students were able to put their name in the correct order, match numbers, match colors and so much more.

Thank you again for supporting our classroom and our Exceptional Children's Department. We are blessed and continue to pay it forward!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • Dream Big and Be Bold: Don't Burst Our Bubbles

    Funded Nov 30, 2020

What a blessing this grant has been for our students! We have been excited to have something to play with while at recess. Each student was able to pick out what bubble wand they wanted which provided some independence.

During this pandemic, our schedule and routine has changed and we have had to adapt. Having no access to our playground equipment has been a major adjustment, but I have to say that our students have done well.

Thank you for providing these recess activities for our students. You are apart of our family!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Ross

  • Which Zone Are You In?

    Funded Sep 30, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom, our Exceptional Children's Program and our school. The Zones of Regulation has become a great tool to use with our students to assist in understanding their emotions.

We have been able to download a variety of tools from the website Teachers Pay Teachers which have been great to use with all of our students.

We have a large bulletin board in each of our Exceptional Children's Classrooms that displays the 4 colors for Zones of Regulation. Along with that, we have visual cards that display emotions. We continue to add more to each bulletin board to allow our students to be leaders in understanding their emotions.

Thank you again for being a part of our family and supporting the learning of each of our students!”

  • Learning at Home

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for supporting my students during this unknown time. They were so excited to receive something to keep at their homes and still participate in school work.

We were able to deliver each "activity box" to the families which covers a total of 30 miles. We are only 1 in 5 elementary schools that has the opportunity to serve students with severe and profound disabilities.

During the time of the pandemic, learning still was able to take place due to your generosity. Each child received an activity that allowed them to learn and play at home. Thank you for being a part of our family!”

    Ms. Ross
