Your Donation is the Key to Our Philanthropy
Funded Nov 30, 2016We are using these new resources to make blankets and then donate them to a nursing home and to army veterans. The students used the scissors to cut the fabric. They used the posters to promote others to volunteer to help.
The students were very excited to do this project.
The students looked forward to being able to make someone else's day just a little bit brighter. Now that the blankets have been completed, we will be visiting the nursing home to hand deliver them. This project helped my students to recognize the importance of community. It showed them to care for others, even those we don't know, and to go out of their way for those less fortunate than us.
I could not be more ecstatic about the outcome of the blankets, as well as my students reactions to the project and the impact it made on their personal lives. We could not thank you enough for your donation. Always remember, your donation can be the key to someone else's philanthropy!”

A Perfect Day Starts with a "Good Morning!"
Funded Oct 1, 2016Your donations have made a large impact in the classroom. The students have enjoyed being able to have their own space when writing and learning. They also have enjoyed sharing their ideas and knowledge each morning with their peers. The portal white board has helped us to engage in small groups and learn at our own pace.
The students were, and still are so excited to use the carpets each day. The carpets give the students the opportunity to decide which location in the room is best for them to learn. This gives the student a sense of responsibility for their learning.
The next thing the students will be doing with these items and teaching their peers some things or ways they know how to do something that may be helpful for others to see. I can't wait to see what the students come up with.
Thank you all again for your continued support.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Biersack
iSee , iHear, iDo
Funded Feb 11, 2016Dear Donors,
The Osmo gaming system has helped my students succeed in so many ways. The system allows my students to be able to visualize, and manipulate objects in order to spell words, compute numbers, and create images.
The students were and still are so excited to use the Ipads and manipulatives. They are learning and having fun as they do it. The game encourages educated competition and encourages the students to challenge themselves.
The students that have warmed up to this technology the most are those who were struggling in spelling. They now have extra confidence and want to play to try to increase their knowledge and score in the game.
The Osmo system has been a great addition to my classroom and my students greatly appreciate your donations.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Biersack
We Love To Write And Create!
Funded Mar 16, 2016Dear Donors,
My students have used the materials you provided to make beautiful dioramas depicting a scene from a book they were reading. These materials gave my students the opportunity to create and explore with art materials, as well as use their imagination to create each scene.
My students loved being able to create their scene and present it to the class. They were extremely proud of their work and really worked hard on re-creating scenes from the story.
The next steps for my students in this process is to take their imagination and creativity to the next level. We will continue to use the ink provided from the project to create our own stories and story book scenes.
Thank you all again for helping my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Biersack
