  • All Learning on the West Campus Front

    Thank you for such generous donations. We have been able to complete our first creative assignment in the classroom, Indigenous literature one pagers. These supplies allowed students to express themselves, and use their creativity, in a way that had a record number of turned in assignments (more than I have seen in my four years of education).

    The students have been able to be more engaged in exchange for a reward. The candy went quickly, but running out has led them to also want to be the person to pick a color from the expo markers and write on the board, with the huge variety they have.

    Thank you for your help. With your help, we were able to start Sustainable Silent Reading (SSR) in the classroom with books the kids love. Our students love them so much we sometimes just have to extend to finish their chapter.

    With this project being funded, it has allowed high schoolers, who have lost that love for reading, to find it again and just makes me so happy to see. Kids are reading entire series that are now available to them, and for this, I will be forever grateful. Hooray to future authors, readers, and imaginative thinkers!”

Through their varying backgrounds, my class is able to provide a diverse discussion on a broad variety of topics.
