Coding is vital to 21st century learners. That's why I searched for coding resources for all students ranging from Pre-Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. When my students visit our library I want it to be a where they can read and code. I want to cultivate the love of reading through coding. The Bee Bot will be used with my Pre-K and Kinder students. I will set up activities in my library for my students to learn to code at their level. Our Learning Resources Code and Go Activity will include two Go Code Mouse. This activity is perfect to work with First and Second Graders. They can code the way they want the mouse to move. Students will work together to figure out how they want to move their mouse. Also the Sphero Mini Blue Robot will be used with my lower grade students. This their first introduction into coding with robots. My older students will use the Bit Coding Robot. We will use my class iPad to code as a class. This will certainly be a motivation for students to participate in my class. This project will help me incorporate technology my students need. Plus its so much fun.
