Wiggle and Work: Flexible Seating and Fidgets
Funded Oct 25, 2024I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom project. Thanks to your support, we now have fidgets, wiggle seats, and sensory items that will make a tremendous difference in our students' learning experience.
These resources will provide our students with the tools they need to focus, regulate their energy, and engage more effectively in the classroom. For many of them, these items will be the key to unlocking their potential and feeling more comfortable in their learning environment.
Your kindness and belief in our students inspire me as an educator, and it means the world to the kids who will benefit from your generosity. I can't wait to see how these sensory tools positively impact their daily lives and help them thrive!
Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.”

Funded May 10, 2023Thank you so much for your donations! With your support we were able to purchase new books for our classroom. These books included new non-fiction books, biography books and books to support Social Emotional Learning. The non-fiction books will support our unit on text features. Text features support readers in locating information in the text to better understand what they are reading. The biography books will help when it comes time for our biography unit when students get to choose a person to research, eventually creating a project about that person. The SEL books are what I am most excited for, as a goal of mine is to include more Social Emotional learning into our day to day.
With your support I was able to purchase books at the reading levels of my students, something that is not always available to them in their regular education classrooms. They will be able to use these books during their time with me during our reading class, but also be able to borrow these books to use for their other classes as well. Thank you again for always supporting me, my classroom and most of all my students and their learning. Our classroom would not be complete without your generous support!”

Funded Sep 23, 2021We love using our flexible seating options! My students were so excited when they walked into the classroom and saw our new table and cushions, as well as the lap desks. They couldn't wait to use them! We love using the table for small group work where we can work together in one space. We also like to use the lap desks to spread out around the room when we are doing independent work. Being able to use the flexible seating options has motivated my students to want to work, because they are able to do so in a space that is comfortable for them. We can't wait to continue using these materials throughout the rest of the year.”

Funded Nov 16, 2017We have received the books from the project and could not be more thrilled! I wish you could have seen the looks on my students faces when we opened up the box of books. They couldn't wait to get their hands on them! It was so fun watching how excited they got as they discovered each book. The Mighty Robot books are very popular as well as the books about animals! I cannot ever thank you enough for your kindness and generosity. I have never seen my students so willing or excited to read. Thank you! :)”

Creating a Love of Learning Using Kindle Fire
Funded Jul 19, 2016Thank you so much to everyone who donated! My students have been using the kindles often. We were so lucky to have the kindles when it was time for them to choose a topic and write an "expert" book on it for a class project. My students also used the kindles recently to help them research a person they were doing their biography projects on. It is great to be able to get books for my students at their individual levels on the kindles. This especially came in handy when researching for their biography projects. This is such a great tool to have available and they love being able to use the technology! Thank you so much again!”
