  • Picture Perfect!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to this project. My students and I are really enjoying our new document reader. It's amazing how much more attentive my students are during instructional time with the document reader. Not only has this new technology helped in my students' learning, but it has also helped in building their confidence. My first graders look forward to using the document reader to present their writing or share their personal item for Show and Tell. Even my timid students have grown as public speakers. My students and I thank you for this wonderful classroom tool.”

  • The Projector Project: A New Year, A New Way

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to this project. The students and I have already made good use of the projector. It's amazing to see the difference in my students' learning with this new tool. The students seem more excited to learn new material and are definitely more engaged in the lessons being taught. I know I have barely touched the surface of this new teaching tool and so I look forward to discovering other innovative ways to use the projector in my lessons. I teach a group of enthusiastic second grade students. My students live in the inner city, in a socio-economically disadvantaged community. They face many challenges outside of school, yet they come to school eager and ready to learn each and every day. My classroom consists of all different academic levels. Some students are high achievers who constantly need to be challenged, whereas, some students need extra guidance and support to achieve benchmark. With such a diverse group, our classroom could use some additional supplies and resources.

About my class
