  • Swim Cap Campaign!

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

I am so grateful for your donation. The swim caps have arrived and they are exactly what we needed. We have had several students that were able to participate in our swim month now that would not have been able to with out this donation. They have such joy when they realize they now have all the necessary equipment to participate. Living near the ocean, these students will use these skills frequently. Our hope is that all students will get in the pool to learn lifesaving skills that will last a lifetime.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McDonough

  • Fitness, Fun, Free Choice

    Funded Nov 17, 2024

I am so very grateful for you choosing to donate to my "Fitness, Fun, Free Choice" project. So far we have used the yarn balls in a variety of games and some throwing skill practice. The fitness dice have been very helpful for days when I need to teach students in their classrooms, rather than in the gym. The colorful basketballs were the perfect addition to our basketball skills unit. The students were so excited that we had new balls to match each station. There is always something great about being the first students to use new equipment!”

  • Goosebumps Give Us Goosebumps!

    Funded Nov 16, 2016

Our school can not thank you enough for your generosity towards our school. The second that the Goosebumps books hit the shelf, they students flocked to them. They desperately wanted time to read after library so that they could dive right into the new books! The new variety of texts, novels and graphic novels, have generated a higher level of excitement when heading to library class. As a teacher, the best part is seeing students who are just as excited about reading and new books as I am! Again, thank you for your help in sparking an interest in reading.”

  • Manipulatives Make Memories

    Funded Mar 28, 2015

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my class room project "Manipulatives Make Memories." My current students, as well as future ones, greatly appreciate the opportunity to use hands on materials to extend their math work.

During our geometry unit, students were able to showcase their understanding of various shapes by using the geoboards. The boards allowed them to create shapes that they were unable to do with paper and pencil. They were thrilled at the opportunity to use the boards and get creative!”

  • Document Cameras Develop Discussions

    Funded Jun 22, 2015

We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our school project. The teachers and students are happily utilizing the document cameras each and every day to support the learning and understanding of students. These hands on materials has allowed us to showcase stellar student work, as well as helping other students make their work better.

The yard and meter sticks were extremely useful when working on our measurement unit. Students were clearly able to see the differences in lengths and gain a deeper understanding of the size of different units.

Thank you again for all you have done for out students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McDonough

  • Energy Is All Around Us!

    Funded Dec 4, 2014

My students were thrilled to receive new hands-on science materials. They had so much fun playing with and trying to discover what each material could be used to create. They were excited to see that everyday materials could help them in discovering concepts about all types of energy. I have used the materials to create interest in energy topics and to help demonstrate the more abstract topics. My ELL students were able to connect vocabulary words with concepts more easily because they had hands-on experiences.”
