  • Positive Learning Environment

    Funded Jul 20, 2023

The new classroom supplies have completely transformed our learning environment, making it both welcoming and organized. The bulletin board borders and colorful paper have brought our "Classroom Goals" board to life, where students now proudly display their individual achievements. The storage bins have made a significant difference in keeping materials tidy, and the classroom plant decor has added a calming, natural touch that everyone loves. One special moment was when we dimmed the new classroom lights during a lesson on ancient civilizations—the cozy ambiance helped the students focus and engage more deeply in the discussion.

The students were especially excited when they saw the new vowel cards and timers. These tools have made our work periods more fun and productive, with the timers helping them pace themselves during activities and the vowel cards adding an engaging element to our reading exercises. Whether they are racing the clock or working together in groups, these materials have brought a lot of energy to the room. The plants and decor have further enhanced the environment, making it a soothing and beautiful space where students feel comfortable and eager to learn.

When the students first saw all the new materials, their excitement was contagious. They couldn't stop talking about how the plants made the room feel like a "jungle," and they loved the vibrant bulletin board that showcases their work. Many of them eagerly participated in setting up the storage bins and organizing classroom materials. One student even exclaimed, "It feels like a whole new classroom!" The changes have given the students a sense of pride and ownership in their space, and it's been amazing to see how motivated and engaged they've become.

Moving forward, we're diving deeper into our Social Studies project on ancient civilizations. The organized and refreshed space is perfect for interactive group activities, like creating timelines and building dioramas. The new bulletin boards will soon feature student research on key historical figures, allowing them to showcase their creativity and knowledge in hands-on learning projects. These new materials have truly set the stage for enhanced learning and participation.”

  • Classroom Supplies for Success!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

The new supplies that were donated have been an incredible resource for my students who come from low income homes and have special needs. The folders and binders have allowed them to stay organized and keep their work together. The sheet protectors have been especially helpful for our students who struggle with fine motor skills and often have difficulty turning pages in their workbooks. The dry erase board has allowed us to have more interactive lessons, and the markers and pens have given the students more options for how they want to express their learning.

One specific moment that stands out is when we were working on a project that required the students to create a Mind Mirror and Comic Strip about a particular topic. With the new supplies, the students were able to create visually appealing and organized projects. They were excited to use the new markers and pens to add color and design to their work. This project helped them improve their writing skills and allowed them to express their creativity.

When the students first saw the materials, they were ecstatic. They immediately wanted to start using them and explore all of the possibilities. One student even exclaimed, "Wow, I love this classroom and that you always have everything we need, it is so beautiful and comfortable".

Moving forward, our next steps for a current classroom lesson involve a project where students will be creating their own culture projects. The donated supplies will allow the students to create visually appealing covers and organize their work in a way that makes sense to them. The sheet protectors and folders will be especially helpful for students who struggle with fine motor skills and organization. We are grateful for the donations and excited to continue to use them to enhance our learning experiences.”

  • Snacks for Success

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

The snacks donation has had a significant impact on my students in a Title 1 school with low funding and needs. Many of my students come to school hungry or do not have access to healthy snacks, so having a reliable source of nourishment in the classroom has helped to alleviate some of their stress and hunger throughout the day. Additionally, the snacks provide an opportunity for my students to take a mental break during the day and recharge their energy for learning.

My students and I have been using the new resources by making sure the snacks are readily available for them during class time and breaks. We have also talked about the importance of healthy snacking and how it can affect our mood and energy levels. One specific classroom moment was when a student came to me and shared how the snacks have been helping her focus more in class and feel less anxious throughout the day. This was a powerful moment that highlighted the impact that small resources like snacks can have on students' lives.

When my students first saw the materials, they were surprised and excited. Many of them had never experienced having snacks readily available in a classroom before, so it was a new and welcome change for them. Some students were shy about taking the snacks at first, but as they saw their classmates enjoying them, they became more comfortable with the idea and started taking snacks for themselves.

The next steps for my students in a current classroom lesson or project is to continue their work on a possible community service project. We have discussed working on a project to help those in our local community who are in need of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter. The snacks donation has allowed us to discuss the importance of giving back to our community and how even small contributions like providing snacks can make a difference in someone's life. We thank you for your amazing donation and steps to help our students succeed.”

  • Supplies for Students

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Words cannot express how appreciative my students and I are of your generous donations. Day after day, our students struggle in the classroom simply because they do not have the correct tools such as pencils, pens, folders, erasers, and other important items that are necessary to succeed in the classroom. Additionally, when students are not able to obtain these items and do not know if they have access to them, they dread coming in to school and it leaves them with a feeling of defeat and an inability to focus on the important aspects in the classroom. So once again, thank you for providing our students with the tools they need to gain confidence and progress in the classroom!”

  • Colorful Visuals for Students!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

As we are all aware, technology has become an important part of our classrooms and schools. Unfortunately, our buildings do not have the resources to provide classroom teachers with color printers. Color printers are of utmost importance in the classroom, especially in a special needs classroom. A majority of my students respond positively to images, checklists, sentence starters, question stems, and vocabulary that are vivid, clear, and stand out to them. When these items are printed in black and white, the important items do not stand out and they often struggle to identify the important skills needed to be obtained from the work.

Additionally, I am able to make copies of student work and display it all around the classroom. They then become so proud of their work and continue to work positively towards their goals. We are truly thankful to have this technology in the classroom as it is used daily to help my students grow and enjoy the classroom.”
