  • Remote Social Emotional Support!

    Thank you so much for the social emotional tools and resources. Students use the timers and the stress balls on a daily basis! Your generous support meant so much to us! During reading workshop students use the timers to challenge themselves. The timers have added so much to their use of time, and structure. During writing workshop students needed this supportive tool to help them monitor their time.

    The timers added to students experience of learning how we hold ourselves connected during a time where at times they are not able to create these new boundaries, as the loving boundaries we used to have in our case--was the love of being in a classroom and following the routines we would build together. At this time we use tools independently- and being able to give every single third grade student a timer to help them manage their independence--has been a blessing!

  • Digital Resources for Remote Learning!

    I want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Digital resources that we received have helped all of our students stay engaged throughout this remote learning experience! My students are fully remote and for them to be able to access all of these rich texts and ideas in a very interactive way has been such a blessing. We are so humbled and very lucky to have had this opportunity!

    When students first saw the brainpop and flocabulary videos, their sheer excitement was enough to make me have faith and joy in the kind of teaching I was hoping to provide. Student engagement as you know has been a challenge for us all! The brainpops being short and sweet and super to the point, has supported all of us as third grade teachers as well as our third grade students.

    Our next steps, we hope to bring in real-life authentic dance programs and are looking for organizations that meet the needs of our community. Thank you for instilling confidence in me this year as a teacher!”
