My students are amazing. They are creative, bright, outgoing, and interested in the world. I feel honored to teach such an inquisitive and intellectual group World Studies. Each day, we embark on discussions about international news, world history, and human progress. They relish in a challenge, a tough discussion, and project based learning. I appreciate their perspective, drive, and powerful peer interactions. They work incredibly well together, independently, or as a group. These youth need access to fresh challenges and plenty of rigor each day. That said, I cannot provide them with an adequate amount of technological interaction with my current access to computers. The computer lab is often booked within hours of schedule being released. Our cart of Chromebooks is wonderful, but does not allow for easy transportation, videography, or daily use. I would like to provide my students with 6 iPad Minis for daily use, research, projects, and presentations.
