  • Supplies for Learning

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my students and classroom. I am excited for the students to utilize these materials and have the materials they need to learn each day. Many times students don't have the necessary supplies to be successful in their learning. You are much appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

  • Back to School (Our New Normal)

    Funded Sep 16, 2021

I am writing you to thank you so much for donating resources for my students' safety and education. The resources that were donated were used to ensure the students were prepared for returning back to school in-person after many students spent a year and a half of learning from home remotely.

The students were excited and they enjoyed having resources in the classroom to be successful during the lessons taught. Each day, the students were more and more excited to learn and each student was prepared to learn and practice the skills we have learned. Thank you again!!

    We truly appreciate your donations.”

  • Working Hard: Wipe Away! And Save the Earth

    Funded Dec 14, 2018

I am writing you to thank you so much for donating resources for my students' education. The resources that were donated were used daily throughout many of the lessons and activities.

When we first received the resources, the students were very eager and excited to find new ways to learn and practice the skills they have learned. The clipboards have allowed the students to become more in charge of their work. They loved using it when we are at the carpeted meeting area during the lesson and some used it to take notes during the lesson as well. It was especially helpful because they didn't have their notebooks to lean on. This was also preparing the students to become independent and take charge of their education and their work.

The students were able to use the two-sided dry erase boards. The dry erase boards were useful throughout the year specifically in Math. The students were able to easily erase errors and use the boards on either side. The students enjoyed using the X-and Y axis side when we had to draw shapes or find the area and perimeter of a shape. For the students who did not have graph paper, the lined side was useful for those students to engage in the lesson and also save paper. All of these resources allowed the students to take charge of their learning and education, and give their best effort.

When we first received the materials, they were excited and they enjoyed having new resources to work with. Each day, the students were more and more excited to learn and each student was prepared to learn and practice the skills learned. Our access to new resources for learning in the classroom has added to the students' ability to learn.

    We truly appreciate your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Morris

Students often work together in groups and may be working in the carpet area. The clipboards will be useful when students have a piece of paper with them, it may be hard for them to write on their lap or on the floor. My students also come to the carpeted area for instruction and the students may need to bring a paper with them to take notes or go over an assignment they have been working on. Having these dry erase boards and clipboard in the classroom for subjects such as math and ELA, it will give the students the confidence they need in each lesson and on each day to know they can achieve anything and they can understand it. I want to be able to ensure that my students are able to succeed and I can assess them better when each student has dry erase boards or clipboards where I can check for the students' understanding effectively and quickly. During a lesson, my students may need time to practice the skill before going back to their seats and doing it on their own. These dry erase boards can also teach the students that a mistake is a chance to do better. They are able to easily erase which is also saving the earth by using less paper. We have been going over recycling and with these resources the students are able to understand more about recycling and realize how much paper they will saving.
