My students have been completing all of their schoolwork for this year on devices: laptops, desktops, iPads, cell phones, etc. Spending entire school days, plus homework, and leisure time on these devices is too much! My students need a break. Students need books. We have been reading everything on a screen. With a physical book, my students can highlight, underline, and circle important events or words they do not know as they are reading. With a physical book, my students can have that tactile experience they are lacking. In our digital classroom, this book with be something "hands-on" for my students every day.
