  • Basic Essentials for Success!

    Funded Sep 23, 2024

Thank you again for your generosity! As you can see from the photos, I have put the resources you helped me obtain to good use in the classroom. The ink has allowed me to make colorful posters, providing not only a fun environment in the classroom, but to help students learn with multiple learning modalities.

All of the organizational supplies provided help transitions to be quick and effortless in our tight schedule. Students know exactly what they need and where it should be.

The snacks have been an amazing motivator as well. Students earn classroom money and can shop at the end of the week - the chips are a special treat that many excitedly save up for.

Thank you again for your willingness to support my precious students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Migs

  • What I Need - When I Need It

    Funded Jan 21, 2024

Thank you again for helping me get all the materials I need to help support my students. Since many of them come from homes where school supplies are not necessarily the priority, having extra materials at the ready is always a must. Your generosity allowed me to have materials at the ready so I don't skip a beat teaching when a student suddenly needs something.

In third grade organization is a must! Too many different color folders, materials not easily obtainable, not being able to find what you need it, when you need it: these simple situations can derail any lesson. Being able to hold onto students' attention from the beginning to the end of a lesson is essential. The materials you sent help me do just that.

Thank you again for your generosity!”

    Ms. Migs

  • Seating to Help Us Stay Focused!

    Funded Oct 2, 2023

First and foremost, thank you again thank you for being such amazing humans! I am so grateful for the fact that there are people out there who are willing to help support teachers and their students.

More specifically, the chairs you have donated have made a huge difference in my small groups. The ability to keep moving while staying focused on the work we are doing is game-changing! My students are so much more in tune with what they have to keep their minds on. It has been so wonderful!

To be honest, I have tried out the chairs and it was quite comical. These seats are perfect for kiddos - not so much for teachers!

Thanks again for your amazing generosity!”

  • Whole Class Novel Studies

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

Thank you cannot begin to express my gratitude for the amazing class sets of novels you have gifted my classroom. Reading engaging novels with my class has long been a favorite activity for both my students and myself. Reading aloud to my kiddos is a great way to keep them engaged in reading. just a little beyond their reading level. Up until the gift of these class set books, this activity was a glorified 'story time', but now since each student has their own book to follow along with, I have been able to bring the experience to a new level. Students can now look directly at illustrations, reread to better understand, and review content to provide text evidence for their thinking. This is a whole new opportunity for them.

Thank you again for thinking of my students.”

  • No More Ants In The Pants

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Again, thank you so much for your generosity! My students are loving their new special workspaces! The short table is the perfect place for them to collaborate in 'centers' activities activities and the soft, reclining chairs are the ideal place for independent reading.

The students love the special seating and find that moving around a bit helps them stay on task better than having to remain in the same seat for an extended period of time. They have written several thank you notes, which you will find attached with the photos.

Again - thank you for thinking of my students!”

  • Nonfiction Discovery

    Funded May 28, 2020

I am so sorry that I was unable to express my gratitude with wonderful photos of my students enjoying the books you helped fund. Covid sent us home for the remainder of the year. The following year was a little better as we were very careful about the amount of sharing we allowed.

I have since utilized these amazing books and have had my students participate in a biographical wax museum. Each student researched a historical figure mostly through the non-fiction biography books included in your donation. They then dressed as this figure and presented a short biography to any visitor who 'paid' their wax figure to share it!

It has been incredible having these resources! Thanks again!”

  • Sweet Snacks Post Hurricane

    Funded Oct 17, 2022

My students have been so blessed to have received the healthy snacks you so generously provided. The special boost when I can see them running low on energy and determination is such a wonderful experience. Being able to tell them I have some 'math munchies' or 'spelling power snacks' to get them through a challenging period can completely save a lesson struggling with lagging energy!

The first time I was able to surprise my students with this extra support was so wonderful. I was struggling with keeping their attention in a tough math lesson and my first 'math munchies' surprise turned the energy and focus levels completely around.

I am so blessed to have received enough snacks to use through the remainder of the year! The kids know its not an every day thing but are always so responsive to receiving them!”

  • Biographical Wax Museum - Filled with Research of Famous Historical Figures!

    Funded Mar 7, 2020

I cannot begin to thank you enough for your generous donations. I am so excited to move ahead with this project! I especially cannot wait to tell the students all about it. Check back in a few short weeks for pictures and a full summary of how the event went!”

Having materials readily available is essential for my students! I want to be sure they have a wide selection of biographical material to help them be successful in this project. My fellow fourth-grade team mates are joining into this project so the entire fourth grade will be benefiting from the opportunity to study famous historical figures and they will then forward the learning by presenting their research to the entire school. Students will be responsible for learning about a specific figure and they will then dress as that person and have a prepared speech for any schoolmate who wants to find out more.
