Barbara Kingsolver said that "Literature duplicates the experience of living in a way that nothing else can, drawing you so fully into another life that you temporarily forget you have one of your own." At our school, we want our students to become deep and thoughtful readers, kind people, and globally conscious citizens of the world. Through reading, struggling students can heal, lost middle school students searching for identity can find themselves, and small town preteens can walk in the shoes of someone living thousands of miles away or decades of years in the past. We believe that good readers become good people and that strong readers become strong people. We aim to provide our students with deep reading experiences that are diverse, broad, and eclectic. We appreciate the help of our community in achieving these goals!
