Help Bring Technology to Kindergarten
Funded Sep 7, 2015Thank you for your generous donation of iPads. My Kindergarten students were ecstatic to hear that they were going to be able to use them during the school day.
We use the iPad on a daily basis in my class. With the iPads, students are able to reinforce what they learn. Our class looks forward iPad time just as much as they look forward to recess and gym!
My students are learning through the use of technology and having fun doing so, thanks to you.
Thank you again for your generous donation it was much greatly appreciated by me and the students in my class.”

Funded Sep 14, 2015Thank you for your generous donation of Time For Kids magazine. My Kindergarten students were ecstatic to hear that they were going to receive their very own issues of the publication.
Every Friday is "TFK Friday" in my class. We read the articles together and then complete mini group projects using the publication. One week, after visiting penguins and other Polar Region animals , students wrote postcards to their families about their experiences. Our class looks forward "TFK Friday" just as much as they look forward to recess and gym!
My students are learning with TFK and having fun doing so, thanks to you.

Help Spark an Interest in Learning!
Funded Aug 28, 2014Thank you for your kind and generous donation of book baggies, pigeon books, and markers. My students were very excited when the materials arrived.
I read one of the pigeon books to teach students about feeling words. After reading the book, students went on to writing stories about their feelings and used the markers to color their illustrations. They loved using markers and now ask for them every time they write. The students loved the first pigeon book so much that they couldn't wait for the next one to be read to them. Now we read a new pigeon book each day after lunch.
The book baggies have also sparked an interest in reading. My students each received a book baggie with a few books in it. They love the baggies and have been taking the baggies home each day and read the books with their families. I know that these book baggies will keep our classroom books in great condition.
The materials that you have donated have inspired my students to read and to write. I'd like to thank you again for all that you have done for my class.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Wells Fargo and 5 other donors.Calling All Urban Farmers!
Funded Nov 28, 2011We need to begin teaching our children where their food comes from and why it is necessary to incorporate healthy fruits and vegetables into their diets. This is one of the first lessons that we need to teach students, in order to help them make healthy food choices now and in the future. Thanks to your generous donation of a garden, I can teach my class about growing organic fruits and vegetables and how to make healthy food choices. Students will also learn how to take care of living organisms and why it is important to take care of our earth and bodies.
I wish that you could have seen the excitement in the eyes of my students as they examined and planted seeds in our classroom garden. They all loved feeling the dirt between their fingers and said that they could not wait for the seeds to grow. Once our seeds grow, we will measure our plants and eventually eat the fruits of our labor!
Thanks again for your generosity.
