Help Us See!!
Funded Dec 20, 2012The movies that relate to books that my class is reading came right on time. We had just finished reading the Hunger Games when the movies arrived. When my students were able to watch the movie they began to ask questions and have the types of discussions that I was trying to elicit from them when we read the book. I wish that you were able to hear the types of questions and discussions they were having. The best part of the experience was when they began to compare what was going on in the movie with what happened in the book. One of my students actually took out the book as he watched the movie in order to point out differences between the book and the movie.
The purpose of this project was to help my students see what they have read and it has been accomplished and will continue to be as we continue to read the other books. Thank you so much for providing me with the resources to do this for my students!!!”

Visual Resource
Funded Dec 8, 2009Thank you so much for donating the projector to my classroom. My kids get very excited when they see me take out the projector. They then know that we are going to complete a very interactive activity that they will be interested in. It has helped me to develop different review games for them to play for different topics. It has also helped me show my students how to work different programs so that they can develop projects that include the computer to present to their classmates. It is such a blessing to know that there are people out there like the three of you that are willing to help students and teachers succeed in the classroom. Since my kids are such visual learners having the projector helps me appeal to their visual learning style. Thank you again for your contribution and the lasting impact that it will have not only on my current class but on the classes I have in the future.”
