• Dr. L, Can We Have A Points Store? (pt. 3)

  Thank you all for your kind donations!!! The wish that my students had of having a point store filled with items that they want to work toward came true! Every week they get the opportunity to use the points that they earn for Keeping it R.E.A.L. (Respectful, Engaged, Accountable and Positive Leaders) to purchase items they like from the store. When the store went up after this project got funded the students questioned whether they could really get the items posted in the point store. However, after having their first opportunity to order items using their points they are greatly excited. It is so nice to see them figuring out what items they want, saving up their points so they can get the items that they really want, and figuring out how many more points they need to earn to get the item(s) that they want. Thank you for making this dream become a reality they truly enjoy the items.”

  First and foremost, thank you again for your kind contributions. My students are very excited to have these supplies. When they first saw the supplies that we got for our point store they each started picking out the items that they would save their points to buy.

  One student was so excited to get the acrylic paint set that he opened it to use it before he made it home. He was excited about having another activity that he could do at home and has used his points to get multiple sets. Another student that loves drawing company logos used his points to get the sketch book and the colored pencils. I can't wait to see how he fills up the sketch book with his marvelous drawings.
