  • Audio Accessibility

    Funded Oct 16, 2023

Thank you so much for everything you have given to this project. I am a very soft spoken person and at times my students have struggled to hear my voice. This project fulfilled a big need in my room, to have an amplification option that I can turn on and off easily and move around the room with. This project being funded has improved my day and made instructions and learning more accessible to my students. We truly appreciate every little bit that helped us reach our goal. Thank you so so much for supporting these students.”

  • Interactive Science Notebook Materials

    Funded Dec 2, 2023

All I can say right now is WOW! You all have made our learning dreams come true. These supplies are going to motivate our students so much more! Just wait until I tell them all about the new supplies we will be getting so that their notebooks can be so much better! They are going to be blown away! Thank you for the glue sticks, thank you for the folders! Again, THANK YOU so much for supporting our class!”

  • Science Class Necessities

    Funded Nov 22, 2022

We are so appreciative of your support. This has allowed my students to feel fully supported in their classroom. We don't struggle to find a way to insert things into their science notebooks. They just know where to find the resource in the room. This helps save time and frustration in class.

Often I have an instinct in my class to hoar resources because I am so afraid of running out of what we need. But now, I feel comfortable giving my students what they need in the moment because I am not worried. Your contributions have helped so much. Thank you!”

  • Fill Our Care Cabinet

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

We are so appreciative of your support. This has allowed my students to have their needs met in my classroom. Students come into class hungry, with runny noses, and with no pencils often. And now instead of this hindering them from fully participating and learning in my class, they just get what they need and continue on.

Students now know everyday where to find the things they need. They come in feeling at home and cared for knowing their needs will be met in my room. They can grab a snack and sit down and not struggle to focus throughout class. Thank you so much!”

  • Food Science Exploration - Hydroponics!

    Funded Aug 30, 2022

We are so appreciative of your support. This has allowed my students to have more investment in their experience in class. Students were so excited to receive and put together the hydroponic kits.

We as a class put them together and figured out how to use them. Students chose what to plant and came in everyday, took care of their plants, and watched them grow. They took a picture everyday to track the progress. My students ended up growing lots of lettuces and herbs to feed our class guinea pigs. They get to trim leaves off and feed them everyday as well. They are having so much fun and they come into class excited.”

  • Pets Can Make a Classroom a Home

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

We are so appreciative of your support. My students have really, really loved having pets in our classroom. We have two guinea pigs. My students named them Linguini and Remy :) They are so happy, have so much space and my students get to say hello and goodbye to them during every class.

Additionally, my students get to take care of the guinea pigs. I have students in my room before school, after school and during breaks. They are cleaning and feeding and loving on their pets. They feel safe, comfortable and important in my classroom thanks to you!”

  • Supporting Expression in Science!

    Funded Jan 12, 2022

We are so appreciative of your support. This has allowed my students to have more choice in their class. Students have been able to complete projects in the way they want and express their ideas in the way they want.

They have used these supplies for group work, lab observations and final projects. I have seen student buy in in these activities rise as they have the materials to accomplish these tasks to the best of their ability. A highlight was student Mario Kart Course projects. Students mimicked a natural ecosystem to create a new Mario Kart level. The student presentations were beautiful and creative. Thank you again.”

My students currently use science notebooks to have artifacts of their learning to refer back to and to engage in class. These notebooks are currently stored in stacks by period at the back of my room. When students enter the classroom, the first thing they do is collect their science notebooks. These books often get jostled out of their stacks and keeping them organized is a constant struggle. Using up precious time in our 47 minute period to find and fix notebooks is a waste. There are many materials in this project to help streamline our classroom and the organization crates is just one example. Additionally, there are many creative materials in this project. We often make scientific models either in our notebooks, or outside. Right now students basically have access to the pencil they bring with them and some very old colored pencils that are in the classroom. In order for them to feel inspired to express their knowledge accurately and thoroughly they need inspirational quality materials. Many of the creative materials in this project, posters, colored pencils, markers, and so on will help my students feel as though they have the materials they need to accurately express their knowledge in ways that feel fun and accurate. Thank you so much for your help, it is truly appreciated.
