Sit With Me!
Funded Feb 15, 2023Thank you to our generous donors for your donation to our classroom project. The seat sacks were very useful for our needs. Our old seat sacks were tearing at the seams and so few could hold our books anymore. These awesome seat sack have two large pockets for books, white boards, workbooks, and many more. There are also three front pockets that are great for keeping our pencils and markers safe. One of these three is slightly larger and we use it to hold our math supplies. Lastly we loved having a name place on each one so that the students felt a feeling of ownership and responsibility for the new seat sacks.”

Hurry Up, We're Cleaning!
Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous donation to our project. The kids were so excited to open the box. They were very surprised to find a broom and vacuum. However, that surprise soon turned to interest when they were told they would get to use these items to keep the classroom clean. We chose to have once student a week have the job of vacuum cleaner and one student to sweep the floors. Something we weren't expecting to learn was how to plug in the vacuum and outlet safety. I feel the vacuum and broom set definitely fulfilled the hope of teaching responsibility in my students.”

Funded Aug 6, 2022Thank you so very much for your generous donations! These weighted lap pads have helped many of my students find their focus during independent work or reading time. The lap pads are weighed quite appropriately for my kindergarteners and are made of a very soft plush material that the students find calming. I have seen many of them rubbing the lap pads during frustrating times and sometimes for no reason at all. They are just so soft. The sensory chew necklaces came in handy for a few students this year and the few left will help students next year.”

Funded Apr 14, 2022The resources your donations provided for our 2021-2022 Kindergarten promotion were fabulous! They provided a engaging, fun environment for our kiddos to show off their pride in completing Kindergarten. The students and families were overjoyed to have a "real" promotion ceremony again after the past few years being distanced due to COVID restrictions. I do not believe that the day could have been any more impressive.
We do plan to use most of the items again for future promotion ceremonies. The balloons probably not, so we will purchase again. Thank you so much from our students and us.”

Brain Snacks
Funded Sep 24, 2021We are so thrilled that this project has been funded! My students are constantly hungry... for knowledge and food! But before they can learn, they need to have full bellies! The students have been so excited to have snacks every day! Your donations have brought so much happiness to these little people. Sometimes the sad truth is that at school is the only place they get fed and you became a part of that magic with your donation. It takes a village to take care of children and now you are a part of our village! You're amazing!”

Funded Sep 18, 2021During this questionable time of illnesses, is it COVID or is it something else, the masks your donations helped to purchase have not only helped my kindergarten students, it has also helped students across the entire building. Students are very rough on masks and having an extra supply is wonderful. Many students tie them to fit their faces better and sometimes this causes the strings to break. Your donation has provided the extra for them to practice knotting too! I like to bring a few with me to recess pickup, because that is the most common time for masks to break or get lost. Thank you again!”

Funded Aug 25, 2021Our school budget goes to a lot of things, color ink is usually too expensive to purchase more than once a year. With twenty three classroom teachers, color ink goes fast. I have a classroom color printer to ease the stress on our color ink in the building. However, ink is still expensive. This donation of ink cartridges has helped immensely. I have used so much already printing new centers for literacy and math.
Kids are just so engaged by color instead of black and white. Unless, they are getting to color it.
Thank you so much donors for your generous donation! My kindergarteners thank you too.”

Funded May 9, 2021My students from last year and this year are benefiting from your generous donation to my project "Hear Me Write." Few students come prepared to our school with supplies, much less good headphones. Ear buds just don't fit in little kindergarten size ears. The headphones have been wonderful to say the least. The colors engage the students. The quality of the sound produced is great. My students are learning more with these headphones.
Also the basic supplies of pencils and crayons are always received well by my students.
Thank you again!”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you for your generous donations to my project. Since COVID began, we have had to think of new ways to keep Kindergarten fun and interesting yet still social distancing and cleaning supplies. Kindergarteners can be hard on supplies so multiple plastic folders were needed to last us an entire year. Also the plastic is easier to clean than paper!
Generally my kiddos are able to cooperate in centers together in pairs or small groups. This meant that supplies were being shared, but the rules with COVID asked that we only use items that can be used independently and not shared. So I needed to double my supply of paint daubers so each child could have one.
The supplies that were provided with this project and your donations now give my students a new and fun way to participate in centers.”

Funded Oct 27, 2020Thank you for your generous donations to my project. Since COVID began, we have had to think of new ways to keep Kindergarten fun and interesting yet still social distancing and cleaning supplies. With that in mind, I created this project. Generally my kiddos are able to cooperate in centers together in pairs or small groups. This meant that supplies were being shared, but the rules with COVID asked that we only use items that can be used independently and not shared. The folders and envelopes allow me to create and organize center supplies for each student so that they can be safe and still learn.
The supplies that were provided with this project and your donations now give my students a new and fun way to participate in centers.”
