  • Psyched About STEM

    I cannot tell you how excited my students were to get to use our new materials! We have been using some of the blocks and cubes for math, but what got them really excited was the chance to create something using the Legos, Play-Doh, popsicle sticks, and more!

    In our current unit, we are learning about how exploration of the world around us can lead to discovery and innovation. Students have been learning about simple machines, forces, and principles of how the world works. Now, with these materials, they are getting to experience the planning and engineering process in a simple and fun way. Each day, they are more excited for the challenges coming their way!

    My students are gaining so many valuable skills from using these materials, and we are so grateful to have them. Thanks again!”

    Thank you so much for these awesome resources! The students are so excited about this new technology we have in our classroom, and I can't wait to roll it out into my station rotations! The students are amazed at how the power pens work, and they are excited to practice their reading and math with these materials.

  • Grooving With Graphic Novels

    These books came at just the perfect time, and the kids are absolutely DEVOURING them! Because these are quicker reads with lots of colorful illustrations, the students are excited to pick them up and share them with one another. They have also fit in perfectly with our discussions about dialogue and character development.

    Having books that are high-interest has made my students excited about reading time again. They always want to see what will happen in the other books in the same set, and they have been using these texts to inspire them during writing time as well. We are so grateful for these lovely additions to our classroom library!”

  • Fun With Our Finances

    When my students learned that we had gotten some new materials, they were so excited! Money is always a high-interest topic, but when they saw the details on the jumbo magnetic money set, they all crowded around to take closer looks. It has already spurred conversations and questions about economics, historical figures, and more! It has even made connections to some of the literature we have read in class about the founding fathers!

    My students can't wait to get their hands on the materials fully during math stations! They are already asking when our money unit is so that they can learn and explore more. They are so grateful for your generous donations, and I just know that our economics unit will be stronger than ever. I'm even excited about it! :) Thanks again!”

  • Bones, Muscles, and Brains, Oh My!

    When these materials arrived, my students could not handle their excitement! In fact, I had to add in an impromptu exploration of the materials that very day so that they could start learning from them right away! The anatomy model with removable parts has been so helpful in teaching about how the body works, and students have become more interested in reading and creating projects through the literature you donated! I have even had students create a visual presentation using the pumping heart model, which they then got to share with our class and some classes in the lower grades.

    For my 8 and 9 year old students, these materials are perfect because they can see and manipulate the content they are learning about. It gives them an accurate visual of how their own bodies work, and they are so fascinated by it that they continue to learn and explore outside of the classroom.

    We feel truly lucky to have these materials to learn from- we cannot thank you enough!”

  • Brilliant Books for Blossoming Brains

    I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to my classroom! My students can hardly keep their hands off our new books, and that is all thanks to you. I have seen an increase in excitement for reading time, and my students are always crowding the "special buckets" with our new books in them. They love to read them, and they love it even more when I read them aloud.

    Having these books has allowed me to create more engaging reading lessons and has given my students material that they are excited to learn from. "Pink is for Blobfish" is a class favorite at the moment. The mixture of fiction and nonfiction books means that I can really cater to all of the different readers in my classroom. They love the books and continue to read and re-read them with smiles on their faces!

  • Craving Chromebooks!

    We are LOVING our new Chromebooks! It has opened up a whole new world for our learning. We have been able to use them during all parts of the day, from math to social studies! These Chromebooks have made differentiation easier by allowing my students to access great materials online while they are not receiving direct instruction from me.

    They have also allowed students to research topics that interest them, especially topics related to our learning. For example, during our unit on the human body, students were able to extend their learning by researching charities related to specific disabilities and planning fundraisers to support those charities. This simply would not have been possible without our Chromebooks!

    We also love the fact that we can work together using Google Docs on the Chromebooks. Students are able to collaborate on stories and projects together, and they automatically save! We love that we don't have to worry and that our work is always available to us at any time.

    These Chromebooks have been a wonderful addition to our classroom, and we are so thankful for them and for the donors who provided them!”
