• No Rain, No Rainbow: Let’s Dance in the Storm

  Thank you again for your support of my project, "No Rain, No Rainbow: Let's Dance in the Storm." This project supports our spring dance department performance giving costume pieces and set design to our students. It it through your support that we can truly bring our rainbow theme to life!

  In dance class, we strive to take our learning past just the movement. We learn above history, culture, and costume/set design is a crucial part of the curriculum. These materials will help us unlock all of these learning targets. With our butterfly wings, first grade will be learning "La Mariposa," which is a Bolivian folk dance. With the red flowers, fourth grade will be performing a Flamenco dance in our spring show.

• Dance Team Dancers Shine Like Stars!

  Thank you for your donation to our dance room! Our students truly sparkled on our stage during the Holiday Concert! Their costumes looked beautiful under the stage lights, and they are thrilled to continue to wear these costumes to represent the dance team!

  When they saw the costumes, the dancers could not wait to try them on and dance on stage. For many performers, this was their first time experiencing the joy and pride of performance.

  We are excited to announce our next show will take place in the spring and feature many classes alongside the dance team! Stay tuned for details on how to support!

• Tap into Rhythm: Giving Students a Beat through Tap Dance

  Funded Aug 14, 2024

  I offer my sincerest gratitude to you for making my students' dreams come true! Through your donations, every single fifth grader, over 100 students, will be able to participate in tap classes this year! Tap dance was my first true dance love, and it warms my heart to be able to share my passion with my students.

  Everyone was thrilled to try on their shoes, as this was a first for all students. The excitement in their faces made me proud to be their teacher. This is all thanks to your generosity, which we do not take for granted.

  We are just kicking off our tap classes with exploring the parts of our shoes and how we can use them to create music with our feet! In the upcoming weeks, we will be learning the foundational steps of tap as well as some tap history!

  I thank you again for your commitment to helping my dancers flourish and giving them access to new styles of dance. Until we meet again!”

• Smiles on Stage: Empowering Second Grader Boys with Dance Costumes

  Thank you for your contribution to our project! We were able to get costumes for ALL of our performers because of it, which made them look and feel special on their performance day. Without your support this would not have been possible.

  My students could not have been more excited to try on their costumes, and as soon as they put them on their energy was transformed! They went from students to performers and lit up the stage. Dance allows my students to feel confident in themselves and showcase their abilities in ways they cannot typically throughout the school day.

  We cannot thank you enough for changing lives even in what may seem like a small way because the impact will stay with them for many years to come.”
