• Class Sets of Books

  It's only been a few short weeks, but this project has already been so worthwhile! My students are loving the new books that we received. Unfortunately some of the books were out of stock, so we were able to choose some fantastic educational games in place of the books. These games will be a fun way to reinforce skills that are taught in the classroom, while letting students play. That's a win-win if you ask me! We were unpacking the games just before the winter break, and the looks on my students' faces were priceless. We cannot wait to finally start to play them after the vacation! Thank you!”

• Dramatic Play and Financial Literacy Centers!

  Thank you so much for these amazing additions to our classroom! We absolutely love using the cash register and play food to practice our real life math skills. The doodle pads have been an amazing tool for small group instruction, like practicing letter writing and basic math skills. In addition, we have been using the zippered mesh pouches to hold our literacy and math centers, which are a HUGE hit in our classroom!! • Cozy Carpet for First Grade!

  Funded Aug 23, 2021

  We are so happy that our project was funded! This school year, we are not allowed to use rugs or carpets because of regulations surrounding COVID-19. So instead, we were contacted by Donor's Choose to select replacement items. While we would have loved every single second of having that beautiful rug in our classroom, we were just as happy to receive the AMAZING other items that we chose!

  We were able to obtain so, so, so many amazing books for our classroom library. Our students have loved every single second of using these new books. We also got lots of new storage bins for our Legos. Lucky for us, each student now has their very own STEM bin! This is extra important because of COVID-19 cases being on the rise.

  We could never have had this successful start to the school year without all of our amazing donors. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to our Classroom Kitchen! My students have loved every single second of using our play food and cash register to play. They are learning amazing skills like budgeting, money handling, and the concept of spending. It's so amazing watching them try to budget their money and pick items that they can "afford"! We haven't started our money unit yet, but when we do, I'm extremely excited to use our play money to enhance our lessons! Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

• Classroom Basics to Start the Year

  Thank you so much for bringing this amazing project to life! These items have honestly made all the difference in the beginning of this school year. With all of my students back in the classroom after a hybrid/remote year, they truly need all of the resources I can give them. I've been using my MacBook adapter in every single lesson; it allows me to stream presentations from my laptop to the SMARTBoard, which has made all the difference! Additionally, we use our portable chargers at our desks during technology time. It's an amazing way to be able to use our technology tools even if they're on low battery mode. Thank you so much for making a difference in the beginning of our year!”

• Sensory Tools for Special Education!

  Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donations to our sensory tools project! My students have loved every second of playing with their Model Magic to create different things. We have used the Model Magic in a writing All About unit, where the students used their clay to create a figurine of their animal. Luckily, the cookie cutter shapes were perfect for this activity! My students have utilized the paintbrushes, cookie cutters, art trays and clay to build their creations, tap into their artistic side, and make tangible objects that help bring learning to life.   Thank you so much for your generous donations! While school has not started yet, I have already begun to compile lists of resources that I want to use when we go back to school in just a few weeks! I've been able to download resources that will ease my students' transition back into the school building, as well as enhance their experience in our classroom! I'm hopeful that these social-emotional and academic intervention resources will benefit my students tenfold!

  Last school year was so incredibly challenging for myself and my students - many were not making the progress that they would have if they were in school full time. This Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will be so incredibly useful for the various different learning models I will be implementing this school year! The resources I have purchased thus far encourage everyday problem solving, creativity, as well as analytical and critical thinking skills. They are engaging, colorful and the digital activities include movable pieces that I know will be a big hit with my students.

• Easel-Y Engaged in K/1!

  Thank you so much! Words cannot describe how grateful we are for our easel! In the last few weeks of school, it made our lessons so much more engaging and accessible. I was able to move around the classroom with ease, and being able to bring my lesson with me was absolutely amazing! We used the whiteboard side to display anchor charts and other meaningful information that my students could access very easily. This amazing easel was the perfect addition to our classroom, and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity!!”
