  • First Grade Techies!

    Funded Jul 27, 2024

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our project to provide headphones for our first-grade classroom. Your contribution has made a significant impact on our students' learning experiences.

Every day, our students use their own headphones during lessons, whether for listening to educational videos, participating in interactive activities, or focusing on reading exercises. These headphones are not just tools for learning; they have become an essential part of our classroom environment. By having their own headphones, the children are learning valuable lessons about responsibility, care, and respect for shared resources.

The ability to use their own headphones has also created a more engaging and focused atmosphere. Students are able to concentrate better without distractions, which has led to improved participation and enthusiasm in their learning. We've noticed increased confidence as they navigate technology and work on individualized tasks.

Your support has not only equipped our classroom with necessary resources but has also fostered a sense of ownership among our students. They are proud to take care of their headphones, knowing they contribute to their own learning environment. This small but impactful gift has helped to instill lifelong skills that go beyond academics.

Thank you once again for believing in our project and investing in the future of our students. Your generosity is truly making a difference in their lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kelly

  • Compassionate Crafting: Gift Bags!

    Funded May 15, 2024

We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our compassion gift bag project. With your help, we successfully completed an initiative that taught our students the true meaning of compassion and made a real difference in the lives of others.

Through our project, our students first explored the concept of compassion by reading "Kindness is Your Superpower" and discussing ways to show kindness. This understanding led to the creation of thoughtful gift bags filled with card games, sunglasses, and friendship bracelets. Your contribution played a crucial role in making this project possible.

The impact of your generosity has been profound. Our students had the opportunity to engage in hands-on acts of kindness, which deepened their understanding of empathy, generosity, and community. They wrote heartfelt reflections about their experiences, expressing how helping those less fortunate made them feel and what they learned about compassion.

The gift bags were received with great appreciation, and it was inspiring to see the joy and gratitude they brought to the recipients. This project not only provided immediate support to those in need but also instilled lasting values in our students, setting them on a path to becoming compassionate leaders of tomorrow.

Thank you once again for your support and for helping us make a meaningful difference. Your contribution has truly enriched our students' learning experience and extended our reach to those in need.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kelly

  • Speaking Out Stars!

    Funded Feb 15, 2024

We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for your generous support of our recent community project. With your help, we successfully addressed a pressing issue we identified in front of our school.

Our students, who are deeply committed to fairness and problem-solving, recognized the congestion and safety concerns caused by the misuse of our side street during morning drop-off hours. To tackle this issue, we created vibrant, eye-catching posters that were placed on the street signs to inform drivers of the one-way restriction during peak times.

Thanks to your contribution, we were able to use colorful markers to design posters that not only effectively communicated the important message but also captured the attention of drivers. The posters have already made a noticeable difference in improving the flow of traffic and enhancing safety for families during drop-off. We've received positive feedback from both parents and staff, who have observed a significant reduction in congestion and a smoother drop-off experience.

Your support was instrumental in turning our students' proactive ideas into a successful, tangible solution. This project has not only helped to resolve a community issue but has also empowered our students by showing them the real-world impact of their actions and ideas.

Thank you once again for your generosity and for making this project possible. Your contribution has made a meaningful difference in our school community.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kelly

  • Water Bottles for the Win

    Funded Apr 26, 2024

We are writing to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation towards our water bottle initiative. Thanks to your support, we were able to provide each student with a personalized water bottle as an end-of-year gift, and the impact has been truly remarkable.

This year, our school was fortunate to receive new water fountains with sensors for easy water bottle refills. With your help, we customized each bottle with our students' names using our Circut machine. This thoughtful personalization ensured that each student had their own unique bottle, which not only helped them stay hydrated but also contributed to environmental awareness by reducing single-use plastic.

The water bottles were warmly received by the students, and we have seen firsthand how much they appreciate and value their new gifts. Beyond their practical use, these bottles served as a daily reminder of the kindness and support from our community. The initiative not only promoted better hydration but also reinforced the importance of environmental responsibility and gave our students a sense of belonging and care.

Thank you once again for your generosity and support. Your contribution made a significant difference and helped create a meaningful end-of-year experience for our students.”

    With gratitude,

These items have already started making a difference in the lives of our fellow students. We've seen firsthand how these care packages bring smiles, comfort, and a sense of support to those who need it most.

The impact of your donation goes beyond just the physical items. It serves as a powerful reminder of the strength of community and the importance of caring for one another. Your generosity not only helps to lift spirits but also teaches valuable lessons about empathy and kindness.

I teach a group of amazing, curious, and hardworking general and special education students in the first grade. My students have a range of disabilities, some of which include learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional disturbances, speech and language impairments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Like any other class, my students' abilities and interests range across a wide spectrum. All of my students require individual or small group attention; each day, I incorporate all of their learning styles, interests, and special education accommodations into our lessons. Some of my students prefer visual or auditory cues for learning, while some require a more kinesthetic or tactile approach. My students come into our classroom each day with a love of school and a desire to grow as a learner.
