Sensory Toys Will Bring Us Joy!
Funded Feb 9, 2024I want to start by thanking you all for your generous donations! Your support has given my students the materials they need to help them thrive in school.
My classroom, located in Corona, NY, is made up of 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students with autism. Most of my students have difficulty regulating their emotions. They also have trouble attending to classroom tasks. The materials we received through DonorsChoose, have helped my students focus more throughout the school day. They really look forward to utilizing these sensory toys during their break times.
Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and especially my amazing students! They are ready to do great things thanks to you!”

iPads for Interactive Learning!
Funded Mar 13, 2021I would like to start off by saying THANK YOU for all of your generous donations! Your support has been completely overwhelming and we are beyond thankful!
This year has been unlike any other for myself and my students. Remote instruction has been very challenging for my young students with Autism. Not having the appropriate materials needed to effectively transition back and forth between remote and in-person learning, has been taxing.
Thanks to your tremendous support, our new technology has made the transition much easier. The iPads we received have helped my students explore literature and math in a new and exciting way. We are now able to use programs such as RaZ-Kids and Splash Learn seamlessly from home and in the classroom.
We will be forever thankful for your generosity and support during these unprecedented times. Your help has impacted my classroom in ways you can not even imagine. Thank you again!”

(Kindle) Fire Up Some Learning!
Funded Aug 6, 2017I would first like to thank each and every one of you for donating to our classroom. Your support has helped my students in so many ways.
My students love technology and your donation has given them the opportunity to utilize it daily in our classroom. Students who struggle with fine-motor skills such as writing and drawing can use their new tablets to create stories using applications like Scribble. Other students who have difficulties in the area of reading can have books read to them.
We are so thankful that you took the time to donate to our classroom. Our students are thrilled with the opportunity to use their new tablets to help them become more proficient readers and writers.”
With gratitude,

Funded Sep 29, 2015Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Words can not express how thankful we are for your generous donations to our classroom. With your support my students now have a plethora of toys and games to play with which will help increase their socialization skills.
I wish you could have seen their faces when we opened the boxes together! They could not wait to open the materials and start playing.
I have seen such a difference in my students since the materials arrived. Students who otherwise tend to play alone are now initiating conversations and engaging in interactive play! It is wonderful to see how your donations are helping these wonderful children.
The future is bright in our classroom and we are looking forward to starting a new project shortly!”

Eager To Become Better Readers!
Funded Mar 20, 2015Words cannot express the gratitude we have for your generous donations! The looks on my students' faces when we opened the boxes was pure joy. We are so thankful to be able to create a literacy rich environment in our classroom.
Due to your generosity, my students now have a beautiful classroom carpet where they can sit comfortably and listen to stories. We now have a literacy corner with a cozy bean bag chair and a listening center! My student love listening to the books on tape! They are able to follow along with their own copy of the book too.
Although my students have disabilities, it does not stop them from wanting to learn! They are so eager to use the new materials and it provides a reinforcing environment.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
