I am a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist in an inner city, high-need district. Our district is large (34 schools) and our needs are great. I provide direct therapy services to 30 students from pre-k to high school. Half of my students are bilingual students immersed in an all-English setting and need a lot of support. All of my students present difficulties with the way they learn new material, communicate, and express each other in the academic setting and socially. They have a wide range of language skills and benefit from visual support and strategies when expressing themselves.
