These resources will help my students in many ways. First, I have chosen some resources that are multicultural colors of paper, and people crafts. It is very important that all of my students feel represented in my classroom, and can illustrate and tell stories in a way that represents their differences. Another way that these resources will help my students is by giving them team building, and fun activities to do during recess. During COVID new protocols were put into place that do not allow my students to play in the grass or on the playground. I would like to provide my students with balls to play with at recess so that they can play and learn to share with friends.
My students LOVE hands on learning tools. Playdough, math manipulatives, and puzzles. I have only a few of these resources in my classroom currently. These resources help to make sure that my students have fun and engaging tools to practice their letter names, sounds, and to use those skills to spell simple CVC words. These skill help fulfill and support the Nevada Academic Content Reading Fluency standards. (RF. K. 1d, RF.K.2a, RF.K.2c, RF.K.2d, RF.K.2e). These resources also will help my students practice math facts, addition and subtraction, and number sense with hands-on games that are engaging for them. These math resources will help fulfill and support the Nevada Academic Content Counting and Cardinality Standards. (K.CC.B4, K.CC.B.4a, K.CC.B4b). These tools will help not only my current students, but all of these materials will be available to each of my students for many years to come.
