Picture Moments!
Funded May 4, 2022My students are so excited about the cameras. We took our 8th graders to an amusement park for their senior trip and we got the opportunity to use the instant camera.
My students were so excited to get their pictures right away! They immediately added the pictures in the back of their phone covers to show up their friendship and good times.
Our graduating class was in the school building in 6th grade for about 3 months when Covid started then they came back in 8th grade. Having the camera available allows the counseling department to immortalize their memories and give them the chance to make their middle school scrapbook.
Thank you so much for helping me bring this project to life.”

Funded May 4, 2022Thank you so much for helping fund this amazing project.
My students and I are very happy to have these supplies. We have been using the laptops very often to work on High School applications. These extra chargers are very useful as we need to keep the laptops charged and ready for the next student.
Students drop by my office at lunchtime to use our laptops get their work done. As they move around with the laptops, the extra chargers make it convenient to keep the laptops charging while students are using them to make sure that they are ready for the next group of students.
It warms my heart to be able to provide my students with the supplies needed to be successful learners. I appreciate the support from such wonderful people.”

This classroom project was brought to life by AT&T.Did You Say Snacks?
Funded Apr 26, 2022tudents drop by my office all the time to ask for a snack. Sometimes, they miss dinner or breakfast because they have no food available at home. Since, I have a large number of my students in temporary housing, a snack is needed in a classroom or office.
Having a snack ready at any time during the day helps students get through that day. A snack after gym class is very much appreciated by all students. My growing middle schoolers seem to always be hungry. I always have a snack ready for them either to get them through the day or to replenish their energy for their after-school activities.
Your generous donations will keep my students satisfied and ready to learn for a while with a smile on their face.
Now, I have a bin full of snacks labeled "Snack of the Day". My students love the "Snack of the day". When they pass by my office, they get so excited to discover what new goodies were added to the bin that day. All of this is possible because of wonderful donor like you.”

Funded Apr 18, 2022Thank you so much for making this great project come to life.
My dream has always been to supply my students of everything that will make their learning day an enjoyable one from pencils to undergarments. To be able to learn in a classroom, students need to feel comfortable in their own skin which means wearing clothes that actually fit them well. Some people don't think about that aspect of a student's life but accidents happen even in the middle school years.
Having a male student come to my office because he was sick and couldn't hold it is unavoidable. As a school counselor, I want to be ready with needed supplies to help all students when they face an embarrassing moment like this. Having underwear and sweat pants ready will help them finish their school day in a more comfortable way and let them concentrate on the work they have to get done in the classroom.
The other day, I had a female student come to my office to ask for change of underwear and pants since she had an accident with her period. I was happier than the girl to be able to supply her with everything that she needed to refresh herself and be comfortable to continue her learning for the rest of the day.
Thank you for such a great gift. My students will appreciate it when the moment comes.”

Funded Apr 8, 2022Now that students are back to eating in the cafeteria, they are missing the entertainment portion they were used to having in the auditorium. They used to have movies and board games available to them. I want to bring the board games back to the lunch room so they can still have an enjoyable and relaxing time.
To do so in a successful manner, I wanted to organize the games in ziplock bags to make sure that students will be able to keep track of the pieces and return the complete set at the end of lunch.
If we lose some pieces to the games then students won't be able to enjoy them for long. Having the bags are very useful to keep them not only organized but also in good condition.
Thank you to all the donors who made this project come to life.”

Funded Apr 8, 2022Thank you so much for helping me bring this project to life. Since students are now back to eating in the cafeteria, they are missing the entertainment portion they used to have in the auditorium.
The plan is to play different music from different cultures. Our students are from so many different countries that they would enjoy listening to music from their home country. It will also start a discussion about their different cultures.
When students start talking about their similarities and differences then they will learn to be understanding and patient towards their peers' behaviors. Students will be able to enjoy the music while playing their board games at lunch time.
Putting a smile on my students' faces will be a bonus. I appreciate the support!”

Funded Apr 8, 2022Health and wellness are the most important thing our students need while readjusting!
Now that all students are back to eating in the cafeteria, they need to continue with their routines. Some students are missing the entertainment of movies and board games they used to have in the auditorium. I plan to have the board games available to students after they are done with their food in the cafeteria.
We even have monitors checking out the games and checking them back in to make sure that all the pieces are being returned so another group can benefit from these games.
This project is a great success and it is due to amazing donors like you. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

Funded Mar 10, 2022A special Thank you to Donna Halper and Mission Tiger for making this project possible.
I wanted to make sure that everything was setup with the rolling cabinet and all the supplies placed inside the cabinet before I sent in the final support letter.
Donna, your support means the world to me. My heart always feels full whenever I help my students in any way possible. I can't stop smiling when they drop by just to ask "My lips are so dry. Do you happen to have a chapstick, by any chance?" It sounds like a very simple request, right? These little things that will make their day more enjoyable so they can concentrate on their learning also bring me joy when I see a smile on their faces.
Take a look at the pictures to see how I made the supplies available to the students. All I have to do now is to label each drawer so students know which drawer to open when they need something.”

Ms. Etienne
