  • Digital Dividing

    Funded Nov 24, 2020

These calculators have been a tremendous help for our in-person and remote learnings. Instead of wasting time and sharing germs trying to share the few calculators I had, now every student can take out their brand-new calculator and use it to get their work done both at home and in the school building.

My students are doing so much better since they have the math tool they need to fully succeed and do great while going through these unprecedented times. Learning remotely is not easy but having the necessary technology like a calculator makes a huge difference in a student's success. Thank you again for bringing this project to life!"”

It is amazing the difference a little snack can make in a student's attitude towards learning. No one can work or concentrate on an empty belly. Once they eat a snack, students will be more willing to feed their brain with Algebra. All of this is possible because of wonderful people like you all.

Thanks to your wonderful donations, my students now have a snack anytime they need one while they are in the school building and they are loving it. They were so happy to see all of the delicious treats and were thrilled to be able to have a snack while learning!"”

  • Printing for Algebra Success

    Funded Nov 2, 2020

With the risk of Covid upon us, it is recommended not to share papers. Realistically, how can we expect students to be able to type and organize mathematical expressions and equations when getting the correct answers is already so stressful for them? The visual and hands-on learners need to be able to use paper and write notes and steps needed to make their learning journey a little more manageable.

This printer is such a big step in that direction. Being able to print worksheets, handouts, and any other material needed for class will make teaching and learning a lot more easier for my students and I. The fact that it is wireless is a big plus. Printing from anywhere in the building last minute will let me move from room to room without the worries of leaving anything behind.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank all the donors who made this project possible.”

Many of my students get their essays and projects done on google drive directly on their phones or tablets. Unfortunately, most of them do not have a printer at their disposal. They have to rely on either the school library or the public library to be able to print their work/projects. I'm setting up an after-school club where students will get academic help where they can collaborate with their peers and be able to print the result right away. My goal is to show them that their teachers along with their community can help them get on the road to success.
