  • Big Emotions in Preschool

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you for providing materials that support my students social emotional development. It has been a challenging beginning of the year with so much support needed and short staffed. These tools have helped students begin to communicate by identifying their feelings. Most of our students are non-verbal or low-verbal which makes it challenging for them to communicate. The emotions mirrors have been extremely popular and students have learned to make connections. The weighted puppy has helped students who need sensory support when sitting down for longer periods of time. The ink has been useful in printing pictures and materials that support their social emotional development. Thank you for providing the resources to support my students in the classroom.”

  • Getting Organized in Preschool

    Funded Aug 25, 2022

Thank you for providing these amazing flex bins. We have been able to organize student materials for them to access easily. They have been able to become more independent by choosing the tools they desire and also cleaning up after they are all done. The clear bins allow students to see exactly what is inside the bins ready to explore. The bins have also been useful around the classroom for storing student materials that they use throughout the day. Thank you for helping my students learn to organize their materials.”

  • Keeping Hydrated

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you so much for taking the time and donating to my project. Keeping hydrated was extremely important to me because I know that most of my students come from low-income families that struggle to provide basic necessities. When my student received their very own water bottle, they were extremely excited. I could tell right away that they were motivated to stay hydrated.

Over the last couple of months, my students have been using their water bottles consistently inside and outside on the playground. They take great pride in using their water bottle. They ensure that their water bottle is securely stored after play time. Having their personal water bottle has also helped with their independence. They attempt to communicate and ask for water more often. Students are practicing to recognize their name multiple times throughout the day while they search for their water bottle.

Keeping hydrated has been such a success and its all thanks to your generous donations. Thank you for allowing me to provide basic needs to my students in our classroom environment.”

They need constant stimulation. Most of my students are developing their physical and motor skills that are supported by occupational therapy and adaptive physical education. My students need constant encouragement and positive reinforcement to develop their confidence in content areas they struggle with the most. Using technology to support their artistic expression through different media will help them gain confidence in their work.
