Funded Nov 13, 2024I am filled with gratitude at your continued generosity. We got another exciting project funded--this time centered around STEAM-- thanks to you!
We have used a few items from our project already! The students used their kazoos for their Winter Wonderland performance that we put on for their parents this past holiday season. They were so excited to incorporate an instrument that they can all "play" and use during their performance. We also had the opportunity to capture special moments and watch them develop using the fujifilm. They were especially excited to see their pictures show up within minutes.
Later in the year, the students will be creating designs through an application, choosing a heat transfer vinyl for their design, and getting them pressed onto tote bags! Along with the tote bags, we use the sublimation paper to transfer photos onto the jigsaw puzzles that were also a part of this project.
The students and I are looking forward these fun STEAM projects throughout the year.
Thank you for helping us fuel our creativity!”

Funded Sep 17, 2024First, my class and I would like to express our gratitude for your generosity! Without donors such as yourself, we would not have access to these wonderful resources.
We are currently using our colorful book bins, everyday. Each student has access to their own book bins which they have placed 2-4 books that they are currently reading. Some of the books are from our classroom library and some books are from our school library. The students were so excited to have a special place that they can call their own to place their books that they are enjoying that week.
The students were especially ecstatic for the shrinky dinks! The students had an opportunity to create and color their own designs and we made keychains for them to take home. The next shrinky dink project will be to create something that their classmates can "buy" once we get to our money unit in math.
While we have not yet had a chance to use our blank notebooks for our poetry unit, the students are looking forward to designing their own notebooks.
Thank you so much!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Kim-Nakaso

Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you so much for providing these books for my students! I was so excited to see how my students reacted to these titles. Our iLab teacher was thrilled that we received the The Questioneers Picture Book Collection. Every year during engineering week, she leads the 2nd graders in a Rosie Revere challenge and so having these books ahead of time helped get my students excited for the challenge. We were most excited to add appropriate chapter books to our library that they could read during silent reading times. Some of the most popular were Mercy Watson, Narwhal and Jelly, along with the Bad Guys. The picture books like Mother Bruce were perfect for our reading time. Thank you for supporting our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Kim-Nakaso

Funded May 25, 2021It has been 60 days since school has started, and it has been 60 days since the students in our class have been able to enjoy the books funded by your generosity. The bookcases are full with the different genres, stories and adventures that the students are able to get lost in. It is thanks to donors such as yourself who have graciously taken the time to help fund our classroom library.
The students have been growing their love of reading and have been recommending some of the books they have enjoyed to one another! Thank you for helping us build our classroom library and helping us grow our love for reading.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Kim-Nakaso
