  • Quality Reading Assessments, Lead to Targeted Instruction

    Thank you SO much! Having the Fountas & Pinnell reading level testing kit has been SO wonderful! My old "kit" was not a kit at all, but a collection of random books that my district put together and questions about the books. Because these books were not written to be an assessment, they were long, and in order to answer the questions, the students had to read an entire book.

    With this new kit, every book was written to be an assessment, so the kids can finish the whole thing quickly. The questions are deep and truly figure out if the student understood what they read.”

    Thank you for helping my students enhance their learning by seeing their work in color. My students will know that when they are finished with their essays, research, and projects their hard work will be printed in color. My students were very excited to see the printer being delivered to the classroom because they all knew what that meant, colorful projects.

  • Comprehending Does the Brain Good

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! The comprehension reading cards have been an amazing addition to our classroom. When I informed my students that they were getting several boxes of reading comprehension cards they were beyond excited. One of them stated, "finally, we all can have a chance to practice our reading fluency and comprehension with our new cards".

    My class uses the reading comprehension cards on a daily basis during reading centers to practice their vocabulary, spelling, fluency and comprehension. The students seem to enjoy having the opportunity to practice these skills using the reading comprehension cards. The comprehension reading center in my classroom has become one of the students favorite center.

    Your reading comprehension card donation was able to bring additional kid friendly reading resources to every child in the class, but more importantly it has help my students ignite the joy of reading.”

  • iPads for Bilingual Learners!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH! The iPads have been an amazing addition to our classroom. When I informed my students that they were getting 3 iPads they were beyond excited. The Joy in their faces was surprising. Some of them stated this feels like Christmas and can't wait to open the boxes and start using the iPads.

    My class uses the iPads on a daily basis to complete the following: district assessments, practice our sight words and read and listen to eBooks. The students seem to enjoy the iPads a lot more than the regular desktop computers because the iPads are more kid-friendly and faster. The iPad learning center in my classroom has become the students favorite center.

My bilingual students need iPad's to help them achieve academic success in reading, speaking, math, technology skills and spelling in both Spanish and English. My campus has limited resources for bilingual students. With the addition of these iPad's, I will be able to find an unlimited amount of resources for my students. My students will be able to use the iPad's in order to learn how to write and read in the English language. They will use the iPad's to read electronic books on their reading levels. They will improve their spelling skills in English and Spanish by playing spelling games on the iPad. The iPad's will also be used to practice grade level math skills through interactive games. Not to mention, the amount of joy and fun my students will experience from this updated use of technology within our class.
