Not Just a Decoration...Carpets Are a Critical Component to Learning!
Funded Sep 5, 2022Thank you again for your generous donations. When the delivery driver brought the rug into the classroom, the kids burst out into applause and cheers. They were so excited to see the rug all set up after they came back from lunch.
This rug has made such a difference in our classroom and has truly elevated our shared learning experiences. With the rug that you helped to purchase, my students each have their own space and are able to be comfortable and cozy throughout the day.
Stay tuned for our next Donors Choose project!”

We've Got the Chromebooks... Now We Need a Cart!
Funded May 24, 2019Thank you all so much for contributing to this project. I am beyond floored that I got yet another project funded. It has greatly contributed to my students' successes this year.
The chrome book cart has allowed for so many of my students to be able to use the chrome books. Having a central location to store and charge our chrome books has been a complete game changer and has allowed for my students to use the computers all throughout the room instead of sitting plugged into the wall.
I want to thank you all once again for donating- it really makes all the difference in our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Horan
This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 10 other donors.Soaring into Science and Success Using Technology
Funded Apr 8, 2019I wanted to thank you all once again for donating to this project! Throughout our weather and climate unit in science, my students have been so engaged while researching the weather each day of different places. They have been tracking the weather each day to notice any trends in that location and have been comparing the weather to our city each day.
My students can not wait for science each day to be able to get on the chrome books and look up their cities! With the addition of these five chrome books to our classroom, more of my students are able to work independently on this project. This project has allowed for my students to make connections and learn about other places beyond our city; through this project my students have been asking so many questions and have been so eager to learn more and more about those places.
I cannot express enough how helpful these chrome books have been to my students. We have been able to complete our science projects with ease, and have been able to integrate more technology into our other subjects as well. I can't wait to see how we will continue to use these chrome books for the rest of the year as well as next year.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Horan
Our Rockets S.O.A.R with Chromebooks: Using Tech to Promote Literacy
Funded Dec 17, 2018Thank you all SO much for your very generous contributions. The five Chromebooks have made a huge impact in my classroom and all of my students are so appreciative and excited to have functional computers so they can accomplish their work. They have been loving to get to spend more time on the computers to get their Lexia minutes, they have been listening to books on Epic, and have been completing levels and gaining coins on Freckle.
Having technology in school provides opportunities for my students to receive differentiated instruction across different mediums. With technology and educational programs online, we are able to meet our students' needs and help them to achieve their goals and grow as learners. Technology is also FUN. Students love having the opportunity to be on a computer because it makes learning seem like it is not actually learning, but rather just fun time in school.
My students love having the freedom to move throughout the room with their Chromebooks and work in smart spots where they can focus best. They also were so excited to hear that there are other people out there who are also invested in their education and wanted to provide them with the resources to be successful in third grade!
These Chromebooks have impacted every single one of my students and we could not be more thankful.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Horan
