  • Hurricane Harvey: Road to Recovery

    Funded Sep 13, 2017

Hello dear donors I am so very exited to finally get to send this thank you. Things have been so very busy around the whole school. I am writing this letter to say thank you for all of your generosity that you have shown my students and myself. When times were rough I did not know how I was going to make it, Donors Choose and their donors came rushing in like Superman and saved the day. The was a very much needed project that you funded. It helped to bring a since of normalcy back to the students. Thanks for helping my class piece by piece get started on the path to full recovery.”

    With gratitude,

  • Engaging Students Through Technology

    Funded Sep 10, 2017

Thank yo so much for providing my students with the necessary needs that all classrooms should have just to get started. After Hurricane Harvey totally washed away our school and everything in it, we were left with nothing at all. Once I heard about Donors Choose was helping out schools I had a speck of hope that I could get a few things that my classroom needed to sustain this school year. I just want to say thank you once more for running to our rescue after the storm. Oh yea and the projector was a real life saver.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. S

My school is a Title 1 campus with about 550 scholars; which 91% are economically disadvantaged, 100% receive free lunch, and 42% of our English Language Learners are Limited English Proficient (LEP). The students in my classroom are natural leaders who have a hunger for learning new things daily. The scholars in my class strive for excellence no matter how tough the task at hand may be. Even though they may not live in a perfect world, our classroom is the perfect world to them. The scholars in my class are grateful and appreciative of all things that will help promote their learning to a new level. Our school promotes leaders in every child and my scholars embodies just that!
