• Extra, Extra! Reading STEAM Around the World!

  Your contribution has given our students the excitement in knowledge!! They are so excited every time the magazine is delivered, and ask so many questions. This is a staple in our classroom now that gives the children many opportunities to take part in conversations and make connections between things they know, and things they are learning.

  The little booklets that come in the magazine are added to our collection of stories we read every day. Our English Language Learners are particularly excited about the online component where they get to answer questions and watch videos that go along with the content of the magazine.

• Creating Cool Coding Centers

  Our students have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the Osmo games. The best part is they do not even realize that they are learning to code, decode, debug and follow algorithms. After the year that we have had with the pandemic and COVID-19 keeping us from hands on activities, these tools have been essential in our computer science and technology curriculum. And of course, they are a ton of fun!!

  With the help of these games, students are exposed to computer science concepts that will help them in the technologically advanced society we find ourselves in.

• Comfortable Seating

  Funded Feb 5, 2023

  Flexible seating is the practice of allowing and providing a variety of seating options for students in the classroom. This means having different types of seats like yoga balls, chairs, couches, stools, etc. This also means giving students the freedom to choose where they sit.

  My students love choosing where they can sit in our classroom. When they are working on independent work, they ask for a seat and a spot. Wherever they will be most comfortable, and least distracted.

  Having these seats available to them has lifted their attitudes, productivity, and want to learn. Thank you for giving them the opportunity.”

• Books, Books, Books!

  My students and I cannot thank you enough for the donation of these wonderful additions to our library. It allows them to connect with characters they enjoy, and read books on a level that is just challenging enough for their reading skills.

  The books have helped my students explore different authors and genres of writing. We love to look at these books as examples for our own writing.

  We often discuss the kindness people show each other, and your donation to our classroom is the greatest kindness of all.

• Supplies for Super Students

  Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom. I wish I had taken pictures of their faces when all the boxes were delivered to our classroom! It was so special for them to see and open with me. And what good timing- they asked why I became a teacher and one of my reasons was my love of books. And here was a delivery with all the books that filled the front of our room and started our school year with a lot to talk about.

  So far we have read handful of the books and compared our experiences with those of the characters. I can't wait for them to use the lap desks as we settle into the year.”

• Little Learners Learn Loosely

  Thank you so much for making this little project a reality!! Our student's feet are busy bouncing as they stay seated to keep on task! They are able to focus more on their work and are showing progress already!

  Our amazing new tablets have been put to use already! From viewing stories on Vooks.com to literacy games on abcmouse.com. We are having great time learning already!

  We cannot wait to fulfill our next project and get our Osmo kits to further use these tablets with mathematical, literacy, and coding games.”
