Thanks for fully funding this project. It means a lot to my students and I. My students will use these flexible chairs and bands in class in order to focus on their task and complete their work. My students will be so excited for these gifts and I can't wait for them to see it.”

  • Magic Carpet

    Funded Nov 27, 2017

My students have used the magic carpet during silent reading time, whole group reading and free time. During our indigenous people of North America unit we read a book entitled ''Shi-Shi-etko that was an anchor text to our ''Thunder Rolling in the Mountains'' unit. The book ''Shi-Shi-etko is a picture book. Therefore, students were able to get on the carpet and enjoy the reading. Students engaged with the book and answer questions on the carpet. Students were really excited about the carpet and immediately began asking to sit on the carpet during normal class discussions.”

Thank you so much for funding my classroom. Pencils were a major concern in my class because it took away class time. Now students can come in and get started right away. You have helped me maximize our learning time and for that I am grateful. Thanks for all that you do.”

  • Tech Savvy Believers

    Funded Mar 23, 2017

You have deeply impacted my students. My students are able to learn in a technologically driven classroom. Being able to use computers is important for my students because most jobs will require some type of computer skills. These headphones give my students the opportunity to have personalized learning. Since the headphones have came in students on lower reading levels are able to access grade level texts. I have been reading the text for students and putting it all on the Internet. Students who are on a higher reading level are able to login and answer deeper meaning questions on the computer. All students are able to get texts on their level. Additionally, pencils are helping my students. Most students come into class without materials. I am not letting pencils stop our learning. Students now have a box they can go to obtain pencils. Students are engaged in class and have the necessary materials to succeed thanks to you all!”

These materials will make a diffrence by helping students learn individually in a high tech environment. There are sometimes 2-3 computer based lessons weekly requiring all students to use headphones. Students can learn better when lessons are personalized and sound is not distracting to other students. My students will use headphones for writing interventions, vocabulary Quizlet, teacher read alouds, NewsEla, scholastic articles, online writing assignments, and for released online state assessments. These projects will help students become more technologically advanced and help meet my students where they are at academically. These headpones will help to ease the burden of all the supplies students are expected to have on a day-to-day basis.
