I teach an alternative, Title 1 school. Most of my students have to ride a bus for an hour each morning just to get to school each day. I am trying to take one worry away from my students. I never want my students to worry about whether they have a pencil to write with or paper to write on. I would much rather provide my students with the needed school supplies than have them not learn for the day simply because they forgot their pencil at home. School supplies are expensive, especially when trying to buy enough for an entire class for the whole school year. I did try to choose the cheaper brands, like AmazonBasic but the total still added up quickly.
