• We Can't Mask Our Excitement for School: Disposable Masks Needed

  I cannot even begin to thank you enough for your donation of disposable masks. Every day it has been a struggle to get students to wear their masks properly, or their mask gets dirty, or breaks. Thanks to your donation, I have been able to create a mask container (as shown in pictures) at the front of my classroom for students to take a mask when needed. Having easy access to masks has made the struggle of policing them a little bit easier.

  The masks you donated have also encouraged students to want to wear the mask, as they enjoy the fun prints and colors. Since we're not able to see students' smiles, looking at fun colors and patterns makes things a little better.

• Help! English Classroom Needs Computer

  I cannot begin to thank you enough for funding this project and bringing much-needed technology into my classroom!

  The original computer was out of stock when scheduled to ship, so I was able to select replacements which included a desktop computer and a laptop. Having both has been a godsend. Students use the desktop computer at our workstation in the back of the classroom to with the Cricut, print documents, and see things on a larger screen. The laptop has been so helpful, as students are able to use it at their desks to help with vocabulary or to work on assignments in Google Classroom.

• Bringing the Witch Trials Alive: Copies of The Crucible Needed

  Thank you so much for supporting this project and allowing me to put this amazing play into my students' hands!

  We've just finished reading Act One in class, and my students are hooked. They love, of course, the drama between Abigail and Proctor, but they've also made connections to today's society and the way communities are organized. In having their own copy of the play, students have been able to mark key lines, phrases, and vocabulary as we read. It has helped them take ownership of their reading.

• Making Literature Come Alive With Play-Doh

  My students had so much fun this week constructing examples of imagery from Jonathan Edwards' sermon, "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." As you can see from the pictures, they not only had a great time, but they created some pretty amazing work as well. This project really allowed all learners to engage with a complex text and show what they know. I was blown away by my students' creativity.

• Creating a Safe Welcome Back to School

  Your donation of masks and hand sanitizer is perhaps the most important thing I will be able to share with students when they come back to school next month. So many students have already reached out to me asking how things will be or questioning safety protocols -- it will be reassuring to provide them with their own (fun!) masks and individual hand sanitizer. I've been working in my room setting up for the new school year and have organized the masks and supplies into bags for each student upon entering our classroom. I am looking forward to being able to use the backdrop and welcome sign to take pictures on the first day.

• Cardstock Needed for SEL and STEM Projects

  Thank you so much for funding this project! I was at school today setting up my classroom and was able to organize and color-code all the paper. It got me so excited for all the projects my students will do this year. I know my students will also be inspired by all the color choices they will have, too. Our first project is a research poster on the 1920s (to go with our unit on The Great Gatsby), and I look forward to sharing pictures of their work.

• Let's Get Organized! Classroom Storage Needed

  Thank you so very much for funding this project! I am beyond excited to actually have storage space for all the things now in my classroom! The printer stand is exquisite, with room for the printer and paper. It is so sturdy that I'm not afraid of it collapsing or breaking. The magnetic wall pockets are also amazing and will help so much this fall when students need to find missing handouts or worksheets.
