My first grade inclusion class is of various cultural backgrounds and is composed of 80% ESOL students, where English is their second language. My class is the only first grade ESE inclusion class in my school; I work with students with exceptional needs such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and Speech/Language deficits. About 85% of my class is on free or reduced price lunch. Many of them do not have working technology or Internet at home. I truly believe that my students deserve the right to have access to technology in their education because it is an integral part of our society. My students deserve every opportunity to have daily access to computers to aid in their future endeavors and develop to their full potential!
