• Bean Bags For the Win

  Thank you so much for your generous donations to my project to bring bean bag chair to my classroom. Flexible seating is one way I differentiate instruction and manage behaviors in my classroom. Some students struggle to sit still in regular desks, and having the ability to choose to sit somewhere different can affect their behavior and attention to our lesson. In the last couple months that I have had the beanbags, I find students that typically have attention and behavior problems are utilizing the seating the most, and it's really helped them. It's amazing to get support from the community to help make my classroom a more warm and inclusive place for my students.”

• Being a Teen Is Hard Enough

  Thank you so much for completing my project to bring basic hygiene supplies to my students. Not all students come to school with their basic needs being met, so it's be great being able to provide some basics to my students. Because of your help, my students have access to things like deodorant, feminine products, school supplies, and snacks to get them through the weekend. It's really great to know that the kindness of others still exists. I really appreciate that a platform like Donor's Choose exists, so that we can all work together to help today's young people. I appreciate you!”

• Switching Up Positive Incentives

  Thank you so much for supporting my project to bring positive incentives to my students. This has been a huge success! Classes earn points by being on task and quieting down quick. When the class earns enough points, they get to spend a few minutes playing on the Switch. Students are motivated to behave, and we get a little bit of fun and excitement during the school day! School can be tough enough, and not always a very positive place. Thanks to your support, my students feel more included, and like school is a positive place to be!”

• Write On!

  Thank you so much for your support in bringing writing supplies to my middle school students. It has been such a big help to have an excess of pencils, erasers, and pencil sharpeners for students to use. The truth is, some of my students come from home lives that are unstable, and it's not always easy to bring the necessary supplies to school everyday. I'm so grateful that I can provide things like pencils to my students without having to stress if I have enough. Your generous donations makes teaching just a little bit easier.”
