I teach 4th grade in an inclusion class in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. My students are inquisitive, funny, creative, empathetic and full of grit. By the numbers, 94% of them qualify for free lunch. For many students, our community school is a main source of healthy meals, after school care, dental care, eyeglasses, and of course, quality reading material.
